Yesterday, the apartment owner here planted this little plant, and she didn't even know what was the name of it. I googled it of course and found the name is Tradescantia pallida with a common name purple heart. It is native to the Gulf Coast region of eastern Mexico. According to Wiki, there are three colors of its flowers, color white, pink and purple. It has benefits also as an air purifier like the other houseplants. It could be hanging plants etc.
