Humility is one of the most admirable qualities a person can possess. Because you already believe you're the best, arrogance and pride prohibit you from listening to others and developing. Is your first instinct to someone giving you advice to bring them down? This isn't to say that you should listen to everyone, but those who have more success, experience, or expertise than you should be heard. They might be able to assist you on your quest.
