Change The Course Of Your Life

Life is lived and experienced according to the inescapable and immutable universal law. The same rules apply to everyone. It is the very core thereof, that makes the rich-rich, and the poor poor. What is poverty, other than the lack of wisdom, and appreciation of the value thereof? The importance of wisdom is greatly emphasized in the Bible, which says, that wisdom is the fear of the Lord (law). In Proverbs 1:7, we read that only fools and wicked despise wisdom. Again, Proverbs, chapter 4 verses 6 through 7, says that wisdom is supreme, and though it costs everything we have, we shall acquire it, regardless of the cost, for what it delivers is far greater than our human minds could ever take possession of (on their own).

Wisdom is a sweet pie made of many ingredients. For the purpose of this article, I'll name and briefly describe a few. Many people would rightfully ask, "Gemstone, what qualifies you to talk about wisdom?", without further ado, let me say: "Hell I've been through." God has allowed my ignorance and arrogance to take me down to Hell's pit, where I had no choice but to give up on all of my Earthly understanding and knowledge. I've seen, and felt (first hand), what it looks like when we take God out of the equation. Though it cost much, I'd be a fool to keep thy for my own gains. Many people are waiting, praying, and hoping to be delivered, so, let my words be used as a road map.

The very first thing you must understand is that God is within, not without. There is no God in the sky. He is within thy heart, meaning, you have the God-given power to create. What is going to be created depends on how you apply the law to your life. Again, I say, the law is built by many building blocks, but the very foundation thereof is made of words and thoughts. What you speak of, and what you think of determines the course you'll walk on. Even though my texts aren't read solely by Christians, I do urge you to search the Bible, for the importance, and power of thine words, and thoughts. THINK and SPEAK ONLY of the good you desire. Society will try to drag you into babbling about the evil-doers of this world. Refuse to participate! Your thoughts are like sunbeams! Focus is a magnifier! Point your thoughts into a single goal, and you'll set it ablaze. Disperse your thoughts, and they'll fade away into nothingness.

What you think and speak of determines your decisions. Habits and routines are made of decisions, and yet, destiny is determined by habits and routines. Therefore, eventually, your thoughts and words determine your destiny. That's why the "god of this world" is fighting so fiercely to gain possession over our minds. Mind is the battleground! Aside from destiny, habits, and routines also represent building blocks of one's self-image. If you create a habit of being impolite, lazy, and thoughtless, after a while, that's how you're going to see yourself, on the subconscious and unconscious levels. Every word matters! There is no "more important" and "less important" minute of your life. Speak only if necessary! Since thinking is almost impossible to be paused, do your very best to focus on the right thoughts.

William James said, act like the person you want to become. Goethe stated that in order to do something, first, you must be something (that very thing you're trying to accomplish). Once you start to speak, think, act, and walk like the person you wish to become, you've actually become the very person of your dreams. You are what you're BE-ING. Your bank account doesn't define you. You define "it"!

Your future is in your present attitude. The higher you go, the greater the responsibility. Responsibility is what you're being paid for. The greatness of your appointment is in direct proportion to the burden of responsibility it takes to accomplish your duties. Members of God's congregation must be able to withstand whatever life throws at them. Irresponsible people are like salt without savor. They're good for nothing (Matthew 5:13). When adversity comes, those with an improper attitude either give up or become conquered, thus, transformed into the very thing they've been opposing. Yet, those that possess wisdom and understanding, know that adversity is to greatness what oxygen is to our lungs.

The next ingredient is decisiveness. Most people can't answer the question "What is it that you want?". Would you get on board the ship that knows not to which port to sail?

If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable. - Seneca

Be exact, precise, and determined. Don't wait for a grandiose scheme. "How?" is none of your business! God works in mysterious ways. Father's ways are past finding out. Walk by faith, not by sight.

Many people think we consciously choose those who are we going to be friends with. From my point of understanding, a man by no means chooses his friends. Birds of a feather flock together. The frequency of the mind is what connects people. That phenomenon can be seen and is easily understood by observation of the animal kingdom. You'll never find an eagle in the chicken's coop. I published several articles on that particular topic, 'cause the mind, in general, fascinates me. I recommend this one: https://read.cash/@Gemstone/selection-of-friends-is-important-effects-of-silence-on-human-relationships-f8a70636

Eventually, you become who you surround yourself with. Be choosy!

I seldom meet people who value time, yet, those that do have one thing in common: they read books, and never stop learning. Ask yourself a question; what is the difference between a person who doesn't read, and a person who can't read? You see, the expansion of knowledge is just as uncomfortable as the expansion of the muscles. In fact, reading is to the mind what the gym is to the body. It is an essential link in the chain of success. Ten pages a day is more than enough! Read, read, read, learn, learn, learn. Get of out the indoctrinated state of mind, which tells you that you're a cosmic accident, meant to be nothing, do nothing, and have nothing. Feed your mind diligently, and lovingly, with seeds of wisdom! Get rid of junk food and junk thoughts! "Oh, that's so hard"; and worth it.

When it comes to the health of the mind, one thing is almost as detrimental as the unwillingness to read, and that thing is: arguing. The majority is prone to arguing. In fact, I think they enjoy it. I know people who wake up to argue. "What should I argue about today?", is the question they ask themselves while still in a half-asleep state. It is a waste of time, energy, and brain cells. It doesn't matter what Twitter users think! They can't affect you without your consent. God made you God to Pharaoh (Exodus 7:1), so, don't waste your assignment on nonsense. Lack of self-control is expensive! If you don't trust me, just type an impolite message, and send it to the local authorities. That will teach you a lesson. Whatever you focus your attention on grows. I'm not saying you should ignore the injustice and whatever your heart was destined to deal with. I'm saying: master yourself! Self-control is crucial! KEEP YOUR COOL!

Be angry, yet, do not sin! - Ephesians 4:26

Last but not least: gratitude, tithing & persistence!

Whatever we give thanks for attracts more to be thankful for. My grandma taught me the importance of gifting, even though I haven't put that to use, until I found myself bankrupt, without friends, a job, and money to pay my bills and meet my needs (that's what happens when you lack self-control and are prone to anger over decisions of politicians. Politics are expensive! If you're not ready and willing to risk it all, stay home). Anyways, God turned my life upside down! Sometimes, things are too broken to be repaired. They need to be replaced. I needed to replace my old self-limiting and arrogant beliefs, attitudes, and habits. The only way God could have done it is through pain, and loss. Loss of everything. Only when you lose it all will you know who is actually your friend. In my case, that was one person. That's it! One, but gold.

Little did I know that the only part of the Bible where God says "test me" is a part in which he demands one-tenth of our wealth to be gifted away, to the source of our spiritual enlightenment. Some might say, "that's a new age", but no, it's not. God works through us. He has His messengers. Those people deserve to be given to, for the wisdom they're channels of is priceless. As I couldn't have afforded myself to give away money, 'cause I literally had none, I started feeding birds. One man whose YouTube channel I followed stated that as "tithe", we can also consider giving away time, and talents. That's something I had plenty of. So, that's what I did. I started helping people, to the best of my abilities, and never asked for anything in return. Why? 'cause what we do for others, God will do for us. If someone asked me "How the heaven did you come here from there?" I wouldn't know the answer. That's why I said, your job is to know "what", but not "how?". God's ways can't be understood and foreseen by the human intellect. We might think of ourselves as some, super-intelligent creatures, but when compared with the intelligence that runs the world and everything around, we are tinier than particles of dust. If you have no money, give away your talents, and time. God will reward you, openly.

You are under a curse, and your whole nation, because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. - Malachi 3:9-10

Remember what I said! To do (and have) something, first, you must be something. By being a medium of abundance, you become abundant. What comes through you, sticks to you (thank you, Matthew David Hurtado).

There will be times when you'll feel like giving up. In my case, I had no choice but continue. One quote ranged in my ears; "If you're going through hell, keep going." (that's not Churchill's quote). Sometimes, channeling is quite painful and scary. We are irrational creatures, who tend to keep all doors open, 'cause that indicates safety and security to our subconscious (emotional) minds. But God made this world suitable only for courageous people, who know what they want and aren't afraid to risk it all while relying on faith. You see, only one door was the right one for me, yet, I had plenty at my disposal. God needed to take me through hell to show me, "This is what you're meant to do." It hurt, nevertheless, to a question "would you repeat it?", the answer is "that I would do.". No money and no material wealth can replace the wisdom God has blessed me with. Endure your test! Some people give up after 5 months and 29 days, not knowing there were a few more hours they had to endure to reach their blessing! DO NOT GIVE UP! Let me remind you, that the Bible emphasizes God's love for overcomers! The journey is hard, but the reward is worth it.

In the next article, I will talk more about handling and managing money. There are laws and principles that must be applied in order for a person to attain and keep riches. God wants you to prosper! Poverty is unnatural, and a clear sign of disorder (and rebellion). If you're poor, there's something wrong with your faith and the way you're applying it. Success is never an accident.

That's it for now! Thank you for reading! I wish you a splendid day.

Truly yours; Gemstone

Wonderful post! And yes I'm trying to change, step by step no matter how long it takes or how many "tests" we are facing during our path, but that's what I want, and sure many others. Thanks for your words.

I know everyone has a life to live and most people especially the younger ones growing up in my country here do not accept any form of wisdom given to them by their elderly ones or even their own parent's wisdom is profitable to a man but these young ones don't have regard to that what so ever and it annoys me seeing some not changing his way of life and following what he thinks is right what his friends and classmate are doing
