Pangat: Filipino Custom of Reheating Dishes

0 27

Found of this Filipino culture wherein we become resourceful of dishes for every meal this is also applicable as a trick to avoid getting tired on food taste. Pangat literally comes from the word "Pangatlong init".

A great example of this was this recipe that I'm going to share with you, Cardillo.

Cardillo Recipe

For the ingredients, I used leftover fried fish, garlic, onion, tomato, egg, fish sauce, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

First was to refried the fish after that sauté garlic and onion add the tomato and season with soy and fish sauce and a glass of water and let it simmer until it boils a then add the egg and its done, pretty easy doesn't it?

This is what I've cooked for our meal since we still had leftover fish from yesterday. I loved to pair it with the bottom part of rice (tutong). Come let's eat! (Tara kain po!).
