Tanzanian Novelist Abdurazak Gurnah has been awarded the World's most prestigious literary award, the Nobel Prize for literature yesterday. He's the second none-white author from Sub Saharan Africa to win this award. The first being Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka(man on the right) from Nigeria who won his in the year 1986. Literary giants of Africa!! I also heard that Abdurazak Gurnah once lectured in my university. I've heard alot about him. Currently reading his book "Paradise". ☺
