The 1830 Restaurant is located at the western end of the Habanero Malecon and is currently categorized as one of the most elegant in the city. Its history dates back to the nineteenth century when in the place where it is currently there was another famous restaurant called "Arana". At the beginning of the 20th century it was converted into a property in the "Hotel La Mar", being made of masonry and tiles, where an altar served as the conclusion point of the processions of the Virgen del Carmen. At the end of the 1920s, a residence called "Villa Miramar" arises in the place. In the 1950s it was acquired by the Currais family, which after a restoration turned it into a branch of "La zaragozana" under the name 1830, when the first establishment was founded. With a beautiful neoclassical construction you can see period bars, stained glass windows and balconies that enhance the beauty of the property. Among the various options of the enclosure are the "Gardens of 1830" where lunches and shows are offered to its visitors. The outdoor areas are joined by a small cliff of stones and sea snails to a Japanese island called "Koisima", ideal for private activities and celebrations, decorated with marine motifs. What makes it even more welcoming is that it has a beautiful view of the mouth of the Almendares River that gives it a special touch and extreme romanticism. -------------------- El Restaurante 1830 se encuentra situado eb el extremo Oeste del malecon Habanero y actualmente se categoriza como uno de los mas elegantes de la ciudad. Su historia se remonta al siglo XIX cuando en el lugar donde está actualmente había otro restaurante famoso llamado "Arana",. A inicios del siglo XX fue convertido en inmueble en el "Hotel La Mar", fabricandose de mampostería y tejas, donde un altar servía como punto de conclusión de las procesiones de la Virgen del Carmen. A fines de los años 20 en el lugar surge una residencia llamada "Villa Miramar". En la década del 50 fue adquirido por la familia Currais que luego de una restauración lo convierten en sucursal de "La zaragozana" bajo el nombre 1830, fecha en que se fundó el primer establecimiento. Con una hermosa construcción mayormente neoclásica se pueden observar rejas de época, vitrales y balcones que exaltan la belleza del inmueble. Dentro de las diversas opciones del recinto se encuentran los "Jardines del 1830" donde se ofrecen almuerzos y espectáculos a sus visitantes. Las áreas exteriores se unen por un pequeño acantilado de piedras y caracoles marinos a una isla japonesa denominada “Koisima”, ideal para actividades y celebraciones privadas, decorada con motivos marinos.
