On April 15 at the National Zoo of Cuba, a female Bengal tiger specimen gave birth to four small tigers, who are in perfect health and enjoying themselves with their mother. It is the first time that a specimen of this species has a captive delivery in our country. The most curious thing is that, to the greater delight of the facility and its veterinary staff, one of the four puppies is white, something quite unusual in this species. Until now they are in the company of their mother, although their behavior is monitored to avoid accidents. Soon we will have them on display to fully enjoy in this beautiful zoo. ---------------- El pasado día 15 de abril en el zoológico Nacional de Cuba un espécimen hembra de Tigre de Bengala dio a luz a cuatro pequeños tigritos los que se encuentran en perfecto estado de salud y disfrutando junto a su madre. Es la primera vez que un ejemplar de esta especie tiene un parto en cautiverio en nuestro país. Lo más curioso es que para mayor regocijo de la instalación y de su personal veterinario uno de los cuatro cachorros es blanco, algo bastante inusual en esta especie. Hasta ahora se encuentran en compañia de su madre aunque se vigila el comportamiento para evitar accidentes.
