#INSOMNIUM #BETRAYAL She seemed to be unsettled. He moved from one place to another in that small space of the house. Next to him was a phone that he kept looking at. He made his way to the kitchen once more, took a glass and poured himself a sip of whiskey, put in two ice cubes and returned to the living room. He wasn't in himself, he got rid of the glass in the same way he took it, without hardly taking it to his mouth. He walked to the door and put his face close to the viewer. There it remained, motionless for a short space of time, but nothing. For the first time in over an hour, he dropped abruptly onto the sofa, letting out a dissatisfied sigh and looking up at the white ceiling, where he let his sight drift. Suddenly, she felt a key turning the lock and the latch that slowly released the door from its inert state, making her turn her eyes. The sudden figure of that man gave him goosebumps. It trembled like the thin leaf of a tree shaken by the wind. He approached with a slow but firm step, on the way he took off his tired briefcase, his exhausted shoes, his sweaty shirt. He released that belt that adjusted his waist holding the clinging pants that he did not hesitate to release the zipper hovering around his legs until he was there, lying on the floor like one more piece of a puzzle. He stopped right there, in front of her, who was already collapsed, inert but waiting. He knelt in front of her, and she kept looking at him with impatient eyes. He got closer, and it was there, just when he almost felt the warm breath of his mouth brushing against his own, that a void opened where he fell precipitously. She jumped on the bed, drenched in sweat and still shaking, she only managed to look at the clock. Three in the morning, the bed next to her, still empty. He took a sip of water and lay down, but this time he couldn't fall asleep. Authorship by @Freddy2021 Image attributed to biochile.cl
