Is covid 19 spiritual?

Since the covid 19 epidemic started, I have heard varied opinions about it. So many people have died as a result of this disease. Many others are still battling to save their lives from the infection. As of today, no medication or remedy is generally acceptable to be a potent cure for this disease. I have heard people say "covid 19 is a spiritual disease, it can only be cured by spiritual means." Many others believe that covid 19 is a punishment from God because of man's inhumanity to man/nature and widespread sinful lifestyle. Do you agree with this claim? What is your opinion please?
