Champorado is a chocolate flavored rice porridge that is made from glutinous rice and tablea(chocolate).

Ingredients:

Water

Glutinous Rice

Tablea

Tablea is a Spanish word-meaning tablet, and tsokolate is a Filipino word-meaning chocolate. It is a thick hot chocolate specially made from cacao balls. The tablea can also be a thick disk or flat, and even in square form. But the balls are the most popular form made.

you can use cocoa powder as a substitute)

Sugar

Evaporated Milk

Procedure

First put the Glutinous rice in a pot and wash it carefully. After washing the rice place it over medium heat. The water should be more than the rice maybe about 1:3 ratio if you dont want it to be super thick and look like Bico (another Filipino food using Glutinous rice).

Once the water tarted to boil you can melt the tablea on hot water and add sugar to it.( if your using cocoa powder make sure that it is comoletely dissolved in water first to avoid having clumos of cocoa powder on the champirado).

After adding the Tablea just let continuously stir it until the rice is cooked.

Finally put it in a bowl and serve it with some evaporated milk and enjoy.

This is a simple dish that even a child can make and its usually serve as a breakfast for most filipinos.
