Mountains or the Sea — Which One Do You Prefer?
*“Just across the line — the hills of Meghalaya. Grateful that vision isn’t bound by borders.”* I’ve heard this question many times: "Do you prefer mountains or the sea?" And honestly, I used to wonder too — which one would I choose? But back then, I had never seen either in real life. So, I had no answer. Just a few days ago, I saw mountains for the very first time. I explored the hills and waterfalls within Bangladesh — I went close, I felt them. The sound of the river, the touch of the breeze, the rhythm of nature — none of it can be felt through a camera screen. But what truly stirred my soul was something I couldn’t even touch. From a distance, I saw the towering hills of Meghalaya, with white thread-like waterfalls cascading down their green slopes. It was breathtaking — and yet, somehow, it made my heart thirst for more. I stood near the Bangladesh–India border, watching those hills so closely, yet knowing I couldn’t cross over. I couldn't touch them. I couldn’t climb them. But thankfully, our eyes have no borders.
