Love.

A four letter word that can make or break a person’s life. A strongest and deepest definition of an emotion we feel as a human and yet it is the most abused word. Love has a lot of face. It is compassion for someone in grief and hard times. It is when a mother held in her arms her new born baby. Love is when you think of the happiness of other people. Love is an ultimate sacrifice.

The joy of being in-love.

Do you still remember when you first feel love?

The joy of seeing your sweetheart smile. The happiness you feel whenever that person is around. You can’t contain your gladness and your emotion. You smile unconsciously and the love you feel inside can be seen in your eyes. Then you begin to think of things that can make her happy. Her happiness is your happiness. You give your everything. You start to build dreams for your future with her. The future is not worth to live without her. You start to work hard and execute your plans. You want to be the best version of yourself everyday. The people around you start to notice the changes in you. You smile a lot. Inspired to do anything and everything. You are happy. You found peace amidst the chaos in your life.

A bubble has burst.

The happiness you found seems endless. Everyday is magical and you can't imagine yourself being apart from her but one day you realize that the spark on her eyes are gone. The longing look in her eyes and the her sweet innocent smile vanished. And then she said, "it's over". Your world stopped and slower down as she walk away from you. Leaving you motionless on your feet. You tried to run after her but everytime you take a step she getting farther and farther..away from you.

She left you with a broken heart. The dreams you built with her crushed down before your eyes. The pain of losing her consumed you. You question your worth. You drowned yourself in tears. Memories of her still flooding your thoughts and everytime you close your eyes, you see her face. You can't accept the reality, the fact that she had left you. You want to win her back. You want he back in your life.

You made attempts to bring back what used to be a fairytale-like happiness you had with her. You begged for another chance. You talked to her family and friends to help you but it's all up to her for the last say. Things didn't go well as you planned. She will never change her mind. She doesn't love you anymore.

Accepting defeat.

You dropped your sword and ended the battle. You reached to the point that you can no longer think of any positive words that you can say to yourself. You cried behind closed doors. Alone. People telling you to move on. You hear them talk but you don't listen.

Little by little you start to stand. You start to look at people in their eyes. You do things that you weren't able to do before. You meet and make friends with new people. You started a new life- a life without her. You got a new job and it makes you better. You go on vacations all by yourself and discover life. You the see the world in a new perspective. That happiness can't be found in somebody else's happiness. Happiness starts from within, from yourself. Loving yourself must be the first thing you do before you can love other people. Time and only time can heal the wounds of the past.

A new life.

Love indeed has a lot of face. Oftentimes we can't see it because we fail to look for it within ourselves. We need to love ourselves too. If it doesn't serve you right and if no longer gives you peace and happiness, leave. Redeem yourself, save yourself from the heartache and pain it may bring. We tend to forget sometimes that we also need to love and protect our peace and happiness. Love will come at the right time and the right place. It will come knocking when you least expect it. Life is short, live it to the fullest. Laugh, cry, rejoice and be open to welcome whatever it may serve you.
