The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has spread to the deep web and over the past few months, researchers have found that many people are turning to the darknet market (DNM) for jobs. The Check Point Research organization has noted an increasing trend of people looking for work on hacking forums and DNM. In addition, suspected versions of the coronavirus vaccine from top producers are sold at DNM along with vaccination records. 2020 Bulk Darknet Market Closure Requests Premium Opioid Products By 2020, a large number of darknet (DNM) markets have gone black either by closing voluntarily, exiting fraud, or being breached by global law enforcement. Despite losing a lot of DNM, a large number of underground markets spontaneously posted record revenues in 2020. However, the large number of missing DNMs has led to an increase in demand for opioids. A new report from the Australian National University (ANU) shows that the effect of eliminating global law enforcement and other types of DNM closures has decreased opioid accessibility. The ANU study was led by Professor Emeritus Roderic Broadhurst, and for 352 days the team collected data from DNMs such as Berlusconi, Valhalla, Wall Street, Apollon, Empire, Dream, Nightmare, and Tochka. Broadhurst noted that the operator DNM, after closing the shop, simply made the shop prohibited again with higher prices for opioid products. In essence, the lockdown of the coronavirus pandemic and travel restrictions triggered the DNM operation. "Since the pandemic, everyone is online," said Professor Broadhurst. "The market has been driven by increased demand by buyers and vendors who can supply or replace products such as opioids, in part to address lockdowns and border closings. #Cryptocurrency
