No skill is wasted, whatever opportunity you got to learn any skill try to get the best of it, those skills can be a saver tomorrow. Today, I got a chance to use the skill I learned 15 years ago to save me a huge sum of money if I were to pay for the service. I made my building design myself. What would have cost me over $250 only take $5 which I paid for a borrowed laptop.

Wow! You are an Architect sir? I'm an undergraduate of the University of Lagos, studying Quantity Surveying. I have a little knowledge of Designing too, I can use autoCad & Revit.
