Harnessing the promise of BCH to change lives in poor Africa communities

The promise that comes with the technology that runs BCH as payment for goods and services could be harnessed to change lives in most poor Africa communities, from supporting farmers with seed crops to building sustainable projects for the benefit of the communities. If there is anywhere in the world that the promise of BCH is most needed I think Africa would come first. Most Africa countries are poor due to bad governance and the effects of this go down to those living in the rural regions who are denied the benefits of having a government, and without electricity and portable clean water for drinking. Nigeria ranks first in this case. I can say that without shame though I am a Nigerian.

As a Christian organization leader, I have had the privilege of living in different cities and villages during my years of service. I have had first-hand experience of the effects of poverty and lack of basic amenities among the people in the communities where I served. I have often thought within me if these people should know about the promise of BCH their lives will be better off. But how can they know when most of them that are badly hit with poverty are uneducated and only a few youths in most cases have access to a tablet phone. All the same, I have to do my best to support those that are most venerable. BCH has been my support based and I do intend to teach everyone willing to learn about the promise of BCH as the money for everyone. It's better to teach people how to do things than giving them things but I always start by giving. I am making slides to harness the promise of BCH to improve the lives of my people towards meeting basic needs like food, water, and housing facilities.

As a Christian leader, my guiding principle to work has been a love for a fellow human. I reckon that it's foolishness to think of preaching salvation to a hungry man. He needs to eat first so as to have the energy to listen to the Gospel. BCH has been huge for me in that regard, and with it we have been able to give several people hope for a living, giving them adequate financial support to start a business of their own, and with my experience in business, I was able to canvas a profitable business for them. Farmers received support to buy new farming implements and acquire large fertile lands for the new farming season. I can not do any of these things without the input and promise of BCH. As a husband and father, I have my share of life trouble to deal with, but as I leader I have learned to be selfless and sacrificial, and the discovery of BCH and its promises has made leadership sacrifice an easy thing to me.

I currently serve in a semi-urban City that has a majority of youths who are students in the university located in the fringe of the city. These students came from other places to live in this city for schooling purposes. They can be regarded as the elite in the city because the indigenous people are poor, living solely on the money collected from house rentals which are quickly shared among relatives as soon as it comes. I have a lot of work on my hands as a Christian leader in this town, for all I know salvation is not all about the soul of a man, the body also needs to be saved so a man can serve God in peace and joy. I currently have some cases am dealing with, and with the help and promise of BCH, I shall be able to do my best for the people concerned.

Case number 1

A pregnant woman with her 13 years of age daughter walked into our gathering a few weeks back, and as always we are happy to see new faces in every meeting. We make people feel welcome and want to know them, not just their names but everything about their lives for us to know if there is any way we can be of help to them. My wife does that regularly almost every week speaking to every single new face in any of our meetings to know how they live and how we can support them. The pregnant woman was found to be 8 months pregnant and she has never attended an antenatal clinic within this period of her pregnancy. There is no money for her to do that as the husband is jobless and helpless and they barely have food to eat. On top of that, they have been asked to pack out of the house where they live by the owner due to no payment of rent.

Nonetheless, we were able to arrange for the woman to start the antenatal clinic immediately and provided something for feeding her family for the time being. We were thinking of how to start a business for her but it seems the house rent issue is paramount to anything else for now. We hope that within the next few weeks we shall be able to raise the fund for the house rent which is about $55 to $65 yearly depending on the location of the building.

Case number 2

Mr. Amend came to one of our meetings looking devastating and ravenous, and I knew his problem is more than just hearing the word. After enquiring, he informed us that his wife has left with their children and property and ran away to live in her village with her family. The reason for her actions was due to the nothing life the man has been living. Smoking, drinking, and other vice have been the lifestyle of Mr. Amend. When asked why living that way all he has to say was "no money". Poverty has a way of imprisoning people's minds that the only way they think to solve their woes is to abuse alcohol and drugs. I have work cut out for me here, and I knew the starting point was to quickly find a way to bring back the wife and children and reconcile husband and wife. With my public speaking influence that wasn't a hard thing to do. We brought the wife back and reconcile them. I and my wife made some financial donations to them from our BCH money. But that will not solve the problem except there should be a means of finance for them. We planned to buy a second-hand bike for Mr. Amend to use for commercial purposes, the type we called Okada here, which might cost as much as $150 to $200. As an owner of a commercial bike, Mr. Amend will be able to take care of his family.

We can not think of doing any of the above without the promising hope we have on BCH from the read.cash platform and the Bitcoin cash community. Now our work has been noticed by our corporate headquarters and I was called upon to tell the board what business am doing with my people. That actually was an opportunity I have been looking for. Most of my colleagues are poor and have no means of extra income except the meager monthly allowance they received. I seized the moment to tell them about BCH and its promises, and how easy it has been for me to earn it through read.cash and noise.cash. I told them about @MarcDeMesel gifts on my articles which got everyone rolling on the floor. Unbelievable! I show them my articles to see for themselves and many of them have since joined read.cash and noise.cash. I have to take the initiative to act as a medium of liquidity for them should they be able to accumulate enough BCH.

Bottom line

we're harnessing the promises of BCH to improve the lives of our people giving them access to basic needs, rights, and resources. We aim to create public awareness about the promises of BCH and we believe the best way to do this is to show it.

Africa with a young population of high mobile connection, penetrating villages and clans could serve as the main drivers contributing to the accelerating adoption of BCH in Africa if well harnessed.

How is the supply of internet in Nigeria? As far as I know, many people have phones and smartphones, but how can they use internet?

We have mobile data services here and it's not that bad only the subscription fee may be a problem for many. Although it still affordable as some of the subscription plans cost only about $0.20

That sounds good. How is the accessibility? Certainly better in the cities than in the countryside.

Some countryside can be better than the cities most and it also depends on the type of service provider. At times I have to leave my house in search of area with strong network signal. I used two types of services switching from one to the other when I noticed a failure.
