Five common but powerful wisdom for success in life
There are some things we often ignore in life because they are common, yet they have much more effects on our lives in either way we choose to do with them. We all know to be diligent and ambitious, but these traits are not the most important for achieving success. A successful life requires a profound understanding of what makes us worthy, meaningful, and happy. And often, those attributes are in those common things or actions we mostly ignored.
However, some skills and habits you acquire will be useless if you are unable to follow these common pearls of wisdom properly. And using them appropriately is only possible if you know how to manage yourself well and focus on what really matters. Here are five examples of common but powerful wisdom for success in life.
1. Urinate at a spot
This is a common saying, urinate at a spot so it will foam. To be successful in life, you need to learn how to urinate at a spot in order for it to foam. What it means is that success only comes by how much time you spend on a job. No matter how effective you may be you cannot become successful overnight. Instead of moving from one job to another because of a challenge, spend time on a job or business you know how to do and build your talents and your success will inevitably come quickly.
Why do many people fail and others succeed? Is it because of luck or something else? The reason behind the success of some people is that they know how to simmer a pot. This means that you do not need to rush your work or project and you do not need to work yourself out to become who you want to be; instead, you should keep on doing what you are doing quietly until an opportunity presents itself for you.
I have learned to apply this wisdom in my life for over seven years now, and I have seen success in leaps and bounds in the businesses that I have been involved in within the time.
2. You will never succeed in anything that does not catch your spirit
What you are not happy about there is no way you can succeed in it. This is a fact in life, and it's a big challenge for many people especially civil servants. Sometimes most people think they are under a spell that they can't succeed in whatever try tried to do. They know the job or business they are into doesn't make them happy yet they wake up every morning and go to the same job with endless feelings of unhappiness. They knew the job or business doesn't satisfy their spirit but they lack the courage to do something else.
The human spirit directs a man's path in life. If your spirit is not involved in what you are doing you will definitely go the wrong way and get the wrong result. That is where passion comes to play. When your spirit is involved in what you are doing you become passionate about it. This gives you the inner strength, feeling, and ideas to do your business in a new way that will bring you success.
No matter how knowledgeable and intelligent you think you are, if you do not have the passion for your job success does not usually happen.
For example, I never knew I had talent in the sales business until I started selling. It took me a while to really figure out which business catches my spirit. And when I found out what my spirit likes, passion was naturally released, and the pace of progress I experienced was enormous. I have written about this in several articles.
Itβs like finding your purpose in life that directly connects to you. It becomes what you think most often that takes the center stage of your life. You are happy and very satisfied with what you are doing.
3. Build a house as early as possible
Many times you heard about building a house or someone has built a house, it often leaves you with goosebumps. The general thought is that building a house is not something to be thinking about when you are only a medium-income earner. But I will let you know that it is not the rich that built houses but the wise. Just think about it and I have seen people who don't even have a steady job built houses. They were wise to save what they could earlier in life to build themselves houses.
I realized the wisdom in this, building your own house early has several advantages. It helps you to save for your children's future. When you build a house early in life, your kids will still be very young at the time or you might not have any yet. This means you will have enough opportunity to save more money for the future since you no longer pay for rent.
Additionally, it will help you to save for your retirement easily. It's one step at a time. If you are looking at the distance of a journey you won't make a move. And no matter how long the journey may be with a step at a time you will be able to cover the distance. I have started working on my building, and since my kids are still in their early teenage years, I have more freedom to spend most of my earnings on the building.
4. Love your wife and children dearly
A word says "behind every successful man there's a woman", I would like to rephrase that statement to "before every successful man there's a woman". A man must first be successful as a husband before he can be successful at work except you are not married. Unfortunately, most men don't think this way, and when things are not going well some go to the extent of blaming their wives for their misfortunes.
A man who doesn't give due benevolence to his wife will find it hard to break through in life. I have since learned to love my wife the way it should be and am very satisfied with the way we have grown in love and intimacy. We have been able to lay a foundation of love for our children to build upon. The joy and satisfaction I enjoyed at home reflect on whatever I do.
5. Be kind to others
This is a fundamental truth. The only way to go up is to lift someone up. Kindness has a way of lifting someone. As the saying goes " a good name is better than riches and wealth", but by being kind to others, you will attain both a good name and riches. When you wipe tears from someone's eyes, your eyes will not share tears.

I hope I can build our home soon, I will likely be doing it with my own hands. It won't be the first time. I believe that when a person finally gets their own home (no matter what size it is or how it looks) they can begin to be more successful in their heart and mind.
I also love how you changed the saying that there is a woman before a successful man. Beautiful words as always. Love to bookmark your articles and read them at times when I need a solid pick-me-up, or when I am happy and want to get even more motivated.
