BCH merchants adoption, a job for everyone

There is something that I think most of us in the Bitcoin cash community need to understand. For BCH to gain global acceptance as a peer-to-peer digital currency, the foundation must be solidly laid and merchants are the foundation upon which a BCH economy can be made possible. Merchants adoption is an important aspect of the Bitcoin cash road map which I think most users are not aware of. Merchants adoption is not going to happen by a miracle or magic that you will just wake up one day and see BCH merchants everywhere around the world. This is not a job for one man, every BCH user who has the dream to see a BCH economic tomorrow must get involved. This is not a job for @georgedonnelly alone or @RogerVer and @MarcDeMesel. Everyone in the Bitcoin cash community who genuinely believes in seeing BCH become the world electronic peer-to-peer cash as it's meant to be must join in this job of merchants' adoption. You and I have a lot of work to do.

Bitcoin cash's mission is to be a medium for financial freedom to many around the world. If we want to see people in our cities or countries enjoy financial freedom through BCH, every user of BCH must join in this movement of merchants' adoption. No one should think it's the work of the BCH technical team to get merchants onboarded to accept BCH nor should any say it's George Donnelly's project. @georgedonnelly or @RogerVer or @MarcDeMesel are all working for the same purpose and all of us in the Bitcoin cash community must join hands with them to achieve the Bitcoin cash ultimate goal, which is to become the money for the world.

It is our collective work to see BCH being accepted by merchants in our various cities and regions. It's time for everyone to learn the approach of introducing BCH to merchants around us. If truly we desire to spend BCH for buying our daily needs in malls, shops and kiosks then we must start Introducing BCH to our regular shopping malls, shops, and kiosks near us. Do we want to spend BCH without the need to first changing it to our local currencies? If the answer to that question is a yes to you then you have to start telling the Merchants around you about BCH for them to accept it, so that you can easily spend your BCH without ever needing the service of exchanges.

For merchants in your region or city to accept BCH someone needs to tell them about it, and I think it's your duty as a BCH user to tell because those merchants are around where you live. It will be foolery to think that malls or supermarkets in your street will start accepting BCH without someone teaching them the fundamentals. It will be really hard to find a merchant who decided on his own to accept BCH without a ready market for cash flow and a medium for liquidity. The assurance of a ready BCH market for cash flow is the first consideration a merchant would look at before thinking of accepting BCH as payment for goods and services. BCH users are the ready market for cash flow. But without approaching a merchant to let him or her know that there is a ready BCH market for cash flow none would consider accepting BCH. You and I should start playing our role today.

Every BCH user who operates a business should start accepting BCH as payment for whatever goods and services you are providing in your place or region. Employers who are BCH users should try paying their employees in BCH. We all need to show it in our regions that BCH is real by using it as payment in our offices and accepting it as payment for goods and services in our businesses. This will encourage other merchants around us to want to know what's the hype about BCH.

It is expedient for us to have BCH merchants in our various cities and regions such that when BCH is fully ready we will not have to be moving from our cities to other cities looking for where to spend our BCH for goods and services. I guess it will not be convenient for a Chicago-based Mona to travel to New York City to shop with BCH. I know most of us would not be bothered about that because you can always leverage on exchange platforms to convert your BCH to Fiat currency. But that's not what BCH represents. BCH is money of its own that aimed to have its economy where users can pay for goods and services with BCH without the need of an intermediary.

The baseline

Having Bitcoin cash merchants in your regions or cities will make the spending of BCH like you spend your perso, dollar, EUR, Yuan, Naira, and other local currencies every day. Merchants adoption is what will make BCH the best digital currency in the world, by this we have completely eliminated the need for exchanges and their outrageous fees.
