Pet Peeves Today is meant to be day 10 of this writing challenge but because I was unable to type and post yesterday due to power shortage. So, I'm just gonna post it today. I don't want to skip another day again. So, let's go into it. Today's challenge is for me to write about my pet peeve. When I first saw this, I didn't really understand what it meant. I was thinking that maybe pet peeve meant the (pet) animals I don't like lol but to my surprise when I checked it up on Google, it says pet peeve is a minor annoyance that an individual finds completely irritating to them, to a greater degree that would be expected based on the experience of others. That is, those little things that people around me exhibit that I don't like or things that drive me crazy. We all have pet peeves. My pet peeves are: ***Slow drivers:*** I dislike drivers that drive really slow especially when the road is clear. Like, don't they understand that the accelerator is there for a reason. Please, speed up. Especially when I board a motor bike and the bike man is driving slowly, it pisses me off. In my mind, I'll be like what on earth is stopping you from driving fast. ***Talking or asking questions during a movie:*** I don't really like people that do this. Wait till the end before you ask for what happened. I can't narrate and watch at the same time. And those that usually have a comment for every scene too, please,let's hear word. ***Taking my things without*** ***permission:*** I don't like it when you take my things without informing me. Don't assume I don't need it. Just let me know even though it's after you have taken it. I don't like finding out later. ***Making unnecessary noise while walking:*** That is, those that drag their legs and their slippers or shoe in turn makes offensive noise. In my mind, I'll be like: my sister carry/raise your leg we know you just bought those slippers but please walk smartly. ***People that borrow things and don't return it:*** You said borrow and not give so you are meant to give it back. Some will not return it unless you ask while some would not even return it all or those people that get angry with you when you ask, hmm may God help us. ***Missing spoon:*** I don't like the fact that spoon gets missing in the house. Like where do they go? Or is someone taking them? I don't even understand. ***Loud music:*** As long as I am not at an event, I hate the loud music and the noise that comes with it. It can be deafening. Or those that disturb the peace of the community by playing loud music with their Bluetooth speaker or amplifier. I'll be like: I know you just bought it but pleaseee bring it down, you are the only one listening to it. ***People that argue loudly:*** I believe arguing loudly neither justify your point nor make it true. It doesn't mean you are making sense. I also believe that you should argue by starting clearly your point. Even if you are in the right, you don't have to shout. Don't force your opinion on people. Argue peacefully and reasonably. ***Touchy people:*** You might have come across people that can't talk without touching you. Abeg talk if you want to talk, you don't have to touch me for me to understand what you are saying. Keep your hands to your side. ***"With all due respect":*** When you hear this, just know that what comes next is an insult. Some people will even go as far as adding sir or ma to their statement. For example, with all due respect sir, you are not okay. It's an indirect form of disrespect to say this. ***People with zero patience:*** By this, I mean people that are always impatient to leave as soon as they arrive. Like in my country, Nigeria, you hear people complain that there is no money yet whenever you get to a bank or am ATM stand, you will have to queue 'cause you will always meet people there. For a person that has zero patience, he/she might go to the front, beg the person there and withdraw almost as soon as he came. It is called shaunting. Then it will leave me wondering that those you met there aren't stupid and they also have urgent and important things to do. ***Those that are always late:*** Almost every human being is guilty of being late but that doesn't mean you should turn yours to an everyday thing. Do you know that you will need not to apologize every single time or tell your colleagues that it is better late than never? It is just by planning. My dear, change!😁 ***Abusing people in your language:*** Although this doesn't pain me much since I don't understand what you are saying but speak a language we both understand and let's see. I hope you enjoyed reading. What are your pet peeves? Let me know in the comment section.

Helping People It takes generosity to help others. Going out of your way for others is not such an easy thing to do but it is worth it. We tend to like people that are nice or people that do things freely what you as a person would not do. Just like the saying goes 'you reap what you sow', that is how life is. Whatever thing you are doing now will later tell in the future, So is helping others. The truth is we will always have needs and wants and it will look as if the money won't be enough for you but still give. Give that smile, compliment, gift, call and those little things you think do not count. But what if I don't have, can I borrow the person? You may ask. If you feel the person will return your money, why not? But don't misinterpret this. Remember, it's love your neighbour as yourself and not more than yourself. Don't do things you will later regret. ***Help the Right People*** Here in Nigeria, we have quite a number of beggars on the street. I don't know about you, but, as for me if you have two hands, two legs, you can see, speak and hear, I believe you are okay and should not be begging. Therefore, don't expect any form of pity from me. I have been hearing stories about rich beggars these days. I heard of a man that now own a duplex (a well furnished one) still he begs on the street. He leaves his neighborhood and goes to another where he can't be easily recognized to beg for money. Just imagine this. Some beggars are actually richer than you! Or perhaps you have heard about the type that pretend to be blind or that lie about a disease that they are facing. This is just so uncalled for. In my own opinion, I would suggest that you help people you know around you that are going through a lot. That friend, neighbour, just try to do something. That your friend that has just a bag while you have a bag for each shoe, why don't you assist such friend. That clothes that looks old-fashioned to you is someone else's Christmas cloth.People that will appreciate it not to the greedy ones that pretend to be what they are not. The thing about giving is that the reward might not be immediate. Don't expect the same person you helped to help you in return. Don't give with the motive of receiving. Everybody feels happy when helped. It helps to lighten people's mood. You bring out the smile in them. Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you will keep helping those in need. Remember to like, subscribe, comment and tip. Thanks to @Talecharm for the sponsorship and to @therandomrewarder even though the tips I've been getting these days have reduced still, thank you. And to everyone else, thank you as well.

30 Days Writing Challenge: Day 8 Gradually, the month is coming to an end. Today is the eight day of this writing challenge and I like that it gives me something to write about. ***Three Things I Want to say to Different People*** What will that be? I'm still thinking🤔 Okay, I now know what to write. Let me list first the people I have something to say to. My parents My sister My friends *To my parents: First, I want you guys* *to know that I love you. I am grateful* *to God for bringing me your way. I am so lucky to have you. I want you to know that I see you; the sacrifices* *you made for us, the stress you go through, the cheerful face, the listening ears, the helpful hands, for never getting tired of me/us. I love that you are selfless, caring and modest. My prayer is that it won't all* *be in vain and you shall reap where you've sown. Even though, you are too protective and you don't really like us going out or visiting friends, I still admire you.* *My little advice for you is that you please reduce listening to the news* '*cause there are many bad news out there and it will keep putting fear in you.* *To my sister: I just want to to know that I will miss you. With your wedding in less than a month. So, you are finally leaving us. Now, it will be just me on the bed😔 Big sis, you know I love you right? Even though you can send someone on an errand like ten times, you are still my favorite. Now, it will be me alone against the boys. Thanks for always taking my side. Thank you for those clothes, bags and shoes you always dash me. I'm still going to collect that bucket hat, you hear. I like that you are bold, expressive and lovely. I'm amazed at the woman you have become.* *To my friends: The last set of people I have something to say to are my friends: my people. To all my friends at home, in school, in the neighborhood, at shop, in church and on WhatsApp, I'm glad to have you guys as friends. For understanding me, listening to me, sharing your views and for all the moments we shared together. Now, to my friends* *in school, I miss you guys so much; free WiFi we used together, the calls*, *messages, watching TikTok together, we walking together... Gosh! So many memories. I wish school will resume soon. I can't wait to hear all the gists* *I have missed. And to my friends at home, thanks for visiting and for always welcoming me when I do the same. Thank you for the story books, gists and for your time too.*

30 Days Writing Challenge: Day 7 Hi guys. Today being the 7th day of this writing challenge, I will be writing about my reads. **Do I Read?** Yes I do, infact, I love reading. I read both academic and non-academic books. I read more of academic books like textbooks, pdfs and other school materials, during school period while I read non-academic books mostly during holidays. I read both hard and soft copy stories. I love reading novels and short stories, motivational and inspirational stories, Christian books, teen fiction and love stories. ***Novels***: I like to read novels especially during holidays. I love fiction; the way characters are represented, how detailed it is, the way the author makes it look real, the suspense it puts me in, the interest it arouses. Sometimes, I picture the words in my head. I love the way the writer represents reality with words. Especially if it is one with an interesting plot. You know those novels that keep one up at night. To every writer out there, well-done. ***Short Stories:*** These are stories with short accounts. I love reading short stories because I know I can start reading it that day and finish it that day. I like that pictures are added to make it look interesting. My neighbor used to borrow me her storybooks whenever her dad bought a new one for her. Books like Ade goes to school, Ralia the singing girl, Simbi and the butterfly, it pays to listen and many others. ***Motivational Books:*** Sometimes, one needs motivation to keep pushing. That's when books like these are most needed. Although, it's just once in a while I visit books like this, but when I do, I find hope again and a reason to move on. I find Think Big by Ben Carson motivating. It made me realize that every individual possess a great potential. Other motivational books I have are: 'It is possible'by Fatu Saney, 'I will never give up' by Caleb Prince', 'Don't give up on your pursuit' Ernest Amesi and lots more. ***The Bible and Christian Books:*** The Bible is the most true Word I've ever seen or read. It is the Word of Truth, power, healing, strength and comfort. I love reading the Bible. God's Word guides, protects and strengthens me every single time, every moment and everyday. I also like reading Christian books. It refers me to the Bible especially those with true life stories. Christian books inspire me. There, I learn from others-great men and women even without meeting them physically. Just like they say, the experience of others is the best teacher. Some Christian authors I like are Dr Myles Munroe, Dr David Oyedepo, Kenneth E. Hagins, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, E. W. Kenyon and a lot I can't remember. I have learnt that there is nothing new under the sun. If you want to succeed, learn from those who have succeeded, walk in their paths and before you know it, you are manifesting success. ***Love stories:*** Whoosh! I like reading love stories as well. You know those kind of stories that you read and you'll be like aww🤭 or God when. Not romance o. Well, I used to read romance stories but not anymore. A love story is different, most times one with a happy ending. Just like a story I read recently, 'Yinka, where is your huzband'. The story is a very interesting one Of course, with a happy ending. ***Historical Books:*** I have never really loved historical books majorly because of excessive reference to date-day, month and year.I read one about the media in Nigeria before independence. It is a very interesting account. It made me like history; the connection of the past with the present and although sad, how fast history is repeating itself. To the next question, what are my favorite books? They are endless. I'll try to list some. The believer's authority by Kenneth Hagin Think big by Ben Carson The battlefield of the mind by Joyce Meyer 21 foolish things people do by Pst Paul Enenche? Maintain your white The shenanigans The hidden man Of the heart by E. W. Kenyon The Subtle art of not giving a fuck Kemi's journal Native son by Richard Wright Faceless by Amma Darko The castle of Otranto Sweet sixteen by Bolaji Abdullahi For Mbatha and Rabeka by David G. Maliu The smile of nemesis by Dupe Oshin Yinka, where is your huzband? Love: The rewarding way to victory by Kenneth Hagin That will be all. Hope you enjoyed reading? Please, like, comment and upvote if you did. Disclaimer: This is not a promotional content and I am in no way related to these authors. This is just to share with you my kind of book. To everyone that has encourages me by liking, commenting, through upvotes and tips, I appreciate you. Thanks for all you do

30 Days Writing Challenge: Day 6 Today is the sixth day of the 30 day writing challenge. I've talked about this topic before in my previous article. So, let's go into it. What brand or musician is important to me. I'll say gospel first. I so much love gospel music both worship and praise. Just listening to it gives me hope, makes me thankful. I love Bethel music. Some of their songs are Living hope, Promises, What a beautiful name it is and many others. Some of my favorite gospel artists are Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Victoria Orenze, Phil Thompson, Tope Alabi, Judikay, Chandler Moore,Ada,Don Moen,etc . I can't write them all. 'The book of life'is the first song of Nathaniel Bassey I listened to. You need to listen to this song. I also enjoy 'see what the Lord has done'and 'Olorun agbaye o' by the same artist. His songs are very inspiring; makes you want to worship God more. Victoria Orenze is also one of those that I enjoy her music. She has sang numerous songs, among these, I love 'set my heart on fire', 'Make Jesus proud', 'Only the living', 'Brooding', 'Emi mimo, amongst others. I cherish listening to Tope Alabi's songs as well. Some of her songs I have on my playlist are 'You are worthy', 'Yes and Amen, 'Talo dabi re', 'Hallelujah' and lots more. Listening to her songs gives me goosebumps. And my favorite artist is Dunsin Oyekan. He sings as one with authority. He produces worship songs. Some of his songs are 'Open up', 'Ageless', 'The advantage', 'No words', More than a song', 'Imole de', 'Holy', 'You are amazing', 'Songs of angels', 'Breathe' and many others. Another brand of music is Jazz or Pop. This makes me like Asa. Asa is a Nigerian also a French musician. She sings and play the guitar. She doesn't just sing, she expresses herself so well. Sometimes, her song teaches one a lesson. I love that she sing solos too. Some of her songs I have are 'moving on', 'Eyo', '365 days', 'Jailer', 'Murder in USA', 'Dead again', 'The beginning', Bed of stone', 'The one that never comes','Sometimes I wonder','Shine your light', 'New year', '9 lives' and many more. And lastly, Brymo. The first time I heard his song was when my brother played one of his songs I can't remember which. But his songs are making sense. Is is 'Patience and good luck', 'Ba 'nu so', 'God is in your mind', 'Money launderers and heart breakers', 'Mama', No be me'and lots more. Oops, it's late already. I still have tons of musicians I like but I'm just too tired to write. Since it's a challenge, I don't wanna miss/skip another day. Thanks for reading. Good night everyone.

@Faa_day

30 Days Writing Challenge: Day 5 Hi guys. Today is the fifth day of the thirty days writing challenge. Today's question is five places I want to visit. Okay, if given the opportunity, I would love to visit these places: **The Beach:** I would love to visit the beach sometime. Well, I've never been to one. The beach we have here in Kwara state is Patigi or Pategi beach. I just searched for it on Google. Pategi beach is located along the River Niger in Pategi, Kwara state. I'm just imagining how cool and fun it will be. If I'm to visit there, I would like to go with my friends and family, take pictures and just enjoy. ***The Zoo:*** Although***, I*** have been to the Zoo before, I would like to go there again. I was in primary school when we went to Unilorin zoo as an excursion. I can remember climbing a donkey and snapping with it, seeing a tortoise, a peacock, monkey and even a liar. I saw a lot of animals the day we went and I'd love to see them again. Hopefully, this year I'll go there. ***Ibadan***: Ibadan is a state in Nigeria. It is also the largest city in West Africa. You might be wondering why I want to visit here. My mom's family are based here. I've seen pictures of them , we've called from time to time but not seem them in real life. I would love to meet my cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and big mummmies. Maybe when I grow older, I'll be get to go there. ***Canaan land***: This is the headquarters of Living faith church A.K.A Winners chapel. It is located in Otta, Ogun state. I have heard so much about the place. Canaan land is like a city on its own with 10,500 acre with a university-Covenant University. Winners chapel Otta has 50,000 seating capacity. Perhaps, during Shiloh I would visit there. Shiloh is a 7-day annual convention that comes up mostly on the first week of December. ***Botanical Garden: I*** would like to visit the University of Ibadan botanical garden which is situated in Ibadan, Oyo state. I would love to see a variety of flowers and plants, take pictures of them and maybe buy some to take home. I would also love to visit places abroad. I don't really know their names that's why I didn't mention. Thanks for reading. Let me know what you think of this in the comment section. To all my subscribers, sponsor, upvoters and tippers, I say thank you!

A Short Story I love Sundays because there is always something for me to learn. Today in teens church, we read a short story. The story is about a boy who isn't satisfied with his father's attitude towards him so, he rebelled. I can't remember the name of the boy so I will just call him Raymond. Raymond is from a family of four comprising of his dad, mom and his little sister. Raymond's father has always complained about his son's behavior, never gave him a listening ear and compared him with his sister, Mary. Raymond became fed up with his dad's negative attitude to him. He felt his dad hated him. He never felt at home whenever his dad was around. No wonder he enjoyed school and the company of his friends so much. At school, he was always at peace with nobody to bother or pressure him. So, school was his breathing space. But, the friends he kept are not ones to be so proud of. They talked about a lot of things: The parties they attended, the number of chicks they had ... His friends smoked, had at least one girlfriend, so, he felt the need to have one; to belong not knowing the trouble that awaits him. He joined in whatever his friends were doing which affected his academics drastically as his attention was divided. Raymond's mother, Martha noticed that her son's behavior has changed and she tried to call him to order. Within him, he thought his sister was the one who told his mom about him. Enraged, he confronted his sister about this and asked "Why can't you mind your business?" Mary replied him with the most tender voice ever. She was so cool about it. She made him understand that he is not the only one that is angry with their dad but that shouldn't stop him from being a good person. She advised her brother in the best way she could and he left. Back to school. The news got round that Josh has been shot. Josh is a friend to Raymond and a member of the gang. Raymond was scared for his life. 'What have I gotten myself into?'he kept on asking himself. He was scared for his life. It was time for morning assembly. He was informed by a teacher that his dad was in the principal's office and wanted to see him. His heart skipped a beat. He knew it was game up for him.. As soon as he spot his dad, he burst into tears. His father came to him, hugged him and asked why he was crying. He has not seen this side of his father before or was he forming because the principal was there.His father told him that he visited because he learnt that he lost N1,000 out of his tutorial fee. Meanwhile, he didn't misplace the money but lost it to Mama Nkechi's delicious moi moi. As they were speaking, the Vice principal entered with Deji claiming that the culprit has been catched. He was asked to confess and give the names of the other gang members. Deji looked at Raymond their eyes met, Raymond tried to look away. He prayed Deji won't mention his name. Raymond's father urged Deji to speak up. He saw the excitement on his father's face as he waited to hear the names. This scared Deji the more. He couldn't bear it anymore, he fainted. He woke up in the hospital. Now he has learnt his lesson without anyone telling him this time around. He was suspended from school. Moments of shame and regrets gave way to hard work and self-confidence thanks to counselling sessions and words of encouragement from his family. He resumed, although ashamed, a better person. The End. Thanks for reading. Happy Sunday guys. Hope service was great? Have a lovely night rest.

@Faa_day

The Friends you Keep ***The friends you keep will either make or mar you. The choice is yours. Choose*** ***wisely***! Friends are people in a friendship relationship. They are those you share a close bond with; you laugh together, smile together. They are people that understand you and the way you feel, when you are sad, they try to be there for you and when you are happy, they share in your joy without envy. No man is an island of knowledge goes the popular saying and no matter how introverted you are, you're gonna need friends. You don't like being lonely, do you? Okay! Since we understand who friends are, you might be wondering why exactly you need one—chill, we'll get there. And just like one of my favourites artist, Asa says in her song "***moving on" : where do you go when you're by yourself... Who comes along when you cry for help... I know I can't change the past...but as the river keeps flowing... I'll keep on moving on... 🎶*** There are different kinds of friends: academic friends, childhood friends, social friends, business friends,church friends, best friends and the best of all is the friendship with Jesus, He is a friend like no other. And then we have frenemies(beware of them). What I will be focusing on here is academic friends. Let me put this to you, why don't you have friends? Is it because you have trust issues? Or maybe because you are not friendly? Whatever it is, try to move on. Be the change you wish to see in the world. Just as the book of proverbs in the Bible that whosoever must have friends must show himself friendly. Are you ready to associate with others? When will you start greeting your neighbor abi I should face front? Lol Perhaps you are a student, you'll need academic friends; friends that will motivate you to success. That one friend that will tag you along when going to the library and the ones that attend seminars and tutorials. Wherever you are, try to make friends. And the largest place you can make friends is the University ranging from departmental friends to faculty friends. For example, I'm in the Uni and I have quite a lot of friends: I have those that we leave for school together and I have those that we meet in the Lecture room. Among these, I have two bosom friends of which, we are very close. The conclusion is this, if it's only I've friend you have, try to maintain, keep and give it your very best. You don't have to have large circle of friends. Well, if you can, go ahead. Check up on that your friend, text or call him/her. Be a good person na🙂 Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day ahead.

30 Days Writing Challenge: Day 3 ***My Day in Great Detail*** My day went well. Nothing dramatic. I woke up first around 6AM but slept back to wake up around 8. Thank God for the gift of life. My mom had already started morning devotion so, I joined her and others too. This lasted for about thirty minutes. Then, we all went to do our various house chores. I went to wash the plates. My cousin swept and mopped. My sister cooked while my brother washed my dad's car. So, for breakfast we had Pap with tea. This has become kind of our morning routine to take Pap in the morning especially during holidays. There was light(power supply) for a few hours. I charged my phone since it was low. There is this bead I'm making for my friend, I finished it before noon. My mom has already gone to shop. She sells clothes. Her shop is at Tipper garage. After I finished with the bead, I took my bath, dressed up and went to my mom's shop. I took my ATM with me so as to withdraw. I decided not to take bike since the weather was cool, instead, I trekked. It wasn't that far, just a 30-minute walk. I got to shop safe and sound, waited for a while and then went to withdraw. At the ATM stand, I met a long queue of people. It took quite some time before it got to my turn. I left there and went to get some things and then went back to my mom's shop. Didn't stay there for long before I went back home. On getting home, I was tired and hungry. I ate rice and beans then went to sleep. It wasn't for long though. I washed some clothes when I woke up. I went back to shop again to give my mom something. My mom and I came home together few minutes after I got there. We went for fellowship. Our church holds a house fellowship every Saturday by 5pm. It's an hour program. It went well too. I didn't really have time to read people's articles here on read cash but I hope to do that at night. Time to cook. We've started preparing dinner. It's raining already. Thank God! Soooooooo that's how my day went. Hope your day went well too? Thanks to my sponsor, subscribers and everyone that reads, likes, tip and comment every single time. I appreciate @therandomrewarder for all he does. God bless!

The things I like are more than the things I dislike. That will be all. Thanks for reading. Let me know what you feel about this in the comment section. And a big shout-out to my sponsor @Talecharm and to everyone that takes time to read, like, upvote and comment.

The Dangers of Procrastination ***Procrastination*** is the act of leaving undone, things that require urgent attention for pleasurable and easy things. As human beings, we like to have it easy, not to have to struggle for anything without getting it. Always saying to ourselves that there is always tomorrow and it doesn't have to be now. For instance, a model who is meant to work on her physical appearance by watching what she eats so as not too add too much weight, prefers to visit every joint to satisfy her cravings for food. A model is expected to be fit and she can only achieve this by working on her body and also by exercising. If she is meant to jog daily in the morning but probably because of the weather, she tells herself I can always jog tomorrow, is preparing to fail in her field. I believe the opposite of procrastination is ***discipline***. Discipline is having self-control. It is making up one's mind to do what is required and not just what is convenient. This is called grinding. Doing it in season and out of season, when you feel like it and when you don't. It's easy to say I'll do it later and not do it, there is always time and sometimes we try to motivate ourselves knowing fully well that we are deceiving ourselves by saying 'I'm running at my own pace'. Research has it that twenty percent of our concentrated mind produces eighty percent results and vice versa. If only we can just take out time and do what needs to done, the outcome would be so great. ***What Procrastination Is*** Procrastination is a thief of time and energy. It steals the present and ruins the future. When you refuse to do what you ought to now, you'll end up losing enthusiasm. Since they are urgent yet important things, you will end up doing them but at the wrong time or might not even get the opportunity to do so at all. This makes me remember a time in secondary school. I was in arts class but it is compulsory for every art student to offer at least one science subject. For me, I did Biology. This subject is very wide, containing several topics, sub-topics, diagrams and labels one must master. We were preparing for the third term examination. I already had the mindset that I wasn't going to need it in the future so, I didn't read it. Of course, I was always present in class and copied my note but I didn't read until few days to the Biology exam. I left Biology to read other subjects. I told myself I was going to read my note later but never really did until I discovered that if I didn't read it I was going to fail. Then I started reading and it costed me my time and sleep. Procrastination and lack of interest in the subject almost made me fail. I can remember that I prayed for God to help me and promised not to do that again which I never did. What I'm trying to say is whatever thing you have to do, do it now. There is no better time than now. You don't have to regret later if you do the needful. Stop postponing that thing. Don't take a break until you've worked or what are you taking a break from, laziness? ***Setting Time Limit*** After you have discovered what your goals are, it is important that you attach to it a deadline. You give no room for procrastination by setting a time limit. You can ask yourself 'when do I want to be done with this? It helps a lot and saves time. How many hours have you told yourself you were going to read and spent so many hours on social media, chatting, playing game or gisting. Of course you should have fun but not at the expense of your career, academics, spiritual life and whatever you plan on building. Thanks for reading!

The End of the Month Yay! Today is the last day of May, are you as excited as I am? All thanks be to God, the Source that creates life. This year is very fast or is it just me? January feels just like yesterday and here we are, about to enter the month of May. I wrote this article to remind us of how quickly time passes with every second, minute, day, months and even years. Looking back you will remember that there was a time when you were in primary school, then, secondary school and perhaps you are now in the University or probably done. Which might leave you in wonder about how quickly you were able to achieve this. The end of the month is a time to reflect, be grateful and motivated. I love this famous quote *'Time is money'* by Benjamin Franklin. So, just like money, how are you spending your time or how well do you spend your time? Be in control of your time. Don't waste this priceless gift. Direct your energy towards things you like that will at the same time better your life. ***New Year Resolutions*** According to Wikipedia, a new year resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western world but also found in the Eastern world, in which a person resolves to continue good practices, change an undesired trait, accomplish a personal goal, or otherwise improve their behavior. Whatever you resolved in your mind to do, have you started yet? Well, you don't have to answer this. Just know that it's not too late, start now. You want to learn that skill, start a business, go to school and further your education, be a better person, walk more with God, read at least two books every month, spend time with your family; don't hesitate to start. Invest in yourself, do the needful and I see you making progress. And don't forget to always ask for God's help. I'm rooting for your success already🥳 I don't want you writing the same resolutions next year so, why don't you take a step. That will be all. Thanks for reading. I also want to say a big thank you to my great and generous sponsor, subscribers, upvoters, friends and everyone that encourages me to do better. I love you all. God bless!

Juvenile Delinquency: Who should be Blamed? Parents or Children? According to Google, a juvenile refers to a young person, minor or someone below the age of eighteen while deliquency refers to a minor crime committed by a juvenile that is, a young person. All together, juvenile delinquency refers to the habitual committing of criminal acts or offences by a young person, especially one below the age at which ordinary criminal prosecution is possible.(Oxford dictionary) So, the question now is who is to blamed for this act, is it the parents or the child? Parents can be said to be responsible for this deliquent act because they play a crucial role in their children's lives. Immaturity on the part of the parent is a major reason. Nowadays, we see children giving birth to children, and what you don't have, you can't give. In the sense that, a parent who is not matured and does not possess enough knowledge and experience in nurturing a child will fail as a parent. Also, the issue of juvenile delinquency is so rampant now because parents me want to be 21st century parent. Yes the world is revolving still, the way we discipline/correct children is not meant to change. Whereby we are now imbibing the foreign culture as our own. Just like the Bible says in proverbs 13:24, spare the rod and spoil the child. This means that as a parent if you refuse to discipline a (wild) child, such child will get so used to his ways which will eventually lead to regret. Let's look at the story of the two children of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas in the Bible.These two did abominable things in the sight of God. They were men given to greed and lust while they served as priests of the Lord. Although, their father when he heard of the evil things they are doing, pleaded to them to change their ways which fell on deaf ears. It was too late then. Their father-Samuel could have removed them from their offices but he didn't. And he later suffered for it. So a parent that does not take drastic action in correcting a child will be blamed at the end. Another contributing factor is broken homes. Children who come from a broken home tend to be violent, depressed or socially withdrawn. It might affect such child academically, socially, emotionally and even mentally. Check the background of a bully, a rapist or a drug addict you will discover that majority of them are from broken homes. We can also say that parents that give more attention to their career rather than their children should be blamed for juvenile delinquency. Yeah, as a parent you need money to take care of your children, their school fees, clothing and food. At the same time, if you refuse to make time for your child/children, you will have yourself to be blamed. As long as your career is important so are your children too or what happened to family first. In situations like this, a child will lack parental care and crave for one. For instance, your child tries to ask you a question or maybe needs help with his/get assignment and all you do is to put such child off and this happens consistently. Now, the child won't feel free with you and might end up asking strangers who would gladly help and sometimes mislead him. A violent home is another major factor. It is called domestic violence.Here, the husband beats the wife even in front of the kids. This isn't a good experience or something a child would like to see and might suffer from a disorder known as PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). According to Google, PTSD is a disorder characterized by failure to recover after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. This is often followed by a reaction. A child that witnesses this brutal act by his father, may want to take revenge but because if father is stronger and older than he is, he becomes helpless and unable to help his mom. Such child look for ways to vent his anger on anybody including his friends, juniors and anyone that comes his way. And that is how bullying starts. But can this entirely be the parent's fault? Isn't a person responsible for his actions, no matter how young he/she is. Aren't orphans doing well in life? You may ask. Let's start with curiosity. Curiosity is the nature of man. You can also call it inquisitiveness. It is wanting to know more not caring about the result, the hurt it will bring. You will notice as a parent this character in your child/children. You can tell such child, no don't put your hand inside the fire, you will get burnt but that curious nature will make the child go ahead and touch the fire. Children, especially teenagers want to try out new things in the name of exploring or having fun; they want to know how it feels to be high, how great sex is without considering the consequences. They believe that their parents don't want them to enjoy life, forgetting that what an elder sees sitting down,a child might not see such even if he climbs the highest mountain. The parent here has taught the child morals but the child decides to go the wrong way. Peer Pressure:We can also blame this on peer pressure. It is wanting to do things others are doing knowing it's bad. It is the negative influence your friends have on you or you getting oppressed by your friends (not directly) but because of the expensive things they use like phones, clothes, wristwatches and many others. You also want to feel among which makes you engage in demeaning activities like prostitution, hookup and online fraud AKA yahoo. Social Media: We can as well blame this on social media. Social media now promotes the forbidden, makes it look like prostitution is good. Now you go online and everytime you see immoral dressings and betting sites. Such child can secretly steal his or her parent's money and bet with it. Bad friends: Just like the adage says a sheep that walks with a dog will eventually eat shit(faeces) so it is with having bad friends. These kind of friends end one's life. Just like the story of Amnon and Tamar in the Bible. Amnon raped his half-sister as a result of the bad advice he took from his friend. Some have taken heed to their friends advice to take drugs, rape their friends or family or go into drugs which has landed them in a rehab. This topic was used as a debate in my church yesterday as part of the children's day presentation. I hope you enjoyed reading.Don't forget to like, subscribe and upvote for more articles from me. Thank you!

Quantity or Quality, which do you prefer? ***Quantity*** refers to the amount of goods available to one; it deals with how much you have something in abundance or in few numbers while ***quality*** refers to how good, durable and satisfying a product or service is and may not be great in number; it deals with excellence, uniqueness and perfection; a person who prefers quality would,actually, not mind the price of a product as long as it is very good. Meanwhile, a person of quantity prefers variety-having it in numbers. Human beings are different so are the choices we make. We all don't think the samàe way 'cause we were not raised the same way and I as an individual can only act or make decisions based on what I know. I would say quality should come first because most times as mentioned earlier,they are durable-they last. Let's take for instance gold. Perhaps you got a earring made of gold, you can't compare it to the plastic one or the one painted with gold colour that will eventually fade and change to silver colour. Also,they tend to give you absolute satisfaction. For example, you wanna download a video on YouTube and then you go for higher picture quality, although it uses more data but as long as it gives you the best satisfaction, you're good. Or maybe you went to make your hair and you were given a different price different from what you are used but then you say, I don't mind how much it is as long as it is very good, then you are a man given to quality. You must have seen people like that or be one. **Some Misconceptions about Quality Products** ***Expensive product equals quality*** ***product***: This is not entirely true, don't be deceived. Before buying a product, try to check it out in different outlets. Anyone can make a copy of a high-selling product and sell it at the same price. There are fake things out there! Let's be guided. ***Only big people or companies use*** ***quality product:*** I believe it's all about preference. People managing or those from a humble background also use quality quality products. It's about what I like and what you like. ***Low demand:*** I have never seen anyone who sells quality goods complain about low sales. Although, the law of demand states that the higher the price, the lower the quantity demanded and vice versa. But the law of supply equally states that the higher the price, the higher the quantity supplied. Can you see it now? For instance food. No matter how high the price of food goes up, people will still buy it. So change that mindset. In all you do, aim for quality. Package your goods well, make it seem presentable. Also, don't exploit people in the name of selling quality; Don't assume everyone that drops by your store/shop has a lot of money and even if they do, still it's not your money.Be considerate while making profits. ***Can I have both?*** Why not? You can have both quality and quantity as long as you want it and you have the money factor, you are good to go. So go for it. A very big thank you to my sponsor TaleCharm, my readers and subscribers and those that encourage me one way or the other.I appreciate you all❤️ Perhaps you learnt something, let me know in the comment section.

Dogs ***Dogs*** are animal creatures that live with humans. That is why they are called domestic animals. They are human friendly. Dogs, just like humans, are mammals that is,they give birth to their young ones alive. A little dog is called a puppy. Dogs are nice, lovely and beautiful creatures to have as pets. ***Dogs*** communicate by barking. They bark to scare away strangers and at the sight of danger. They also bite.They wag their tails when they are happy. A dog is usually very attached to its owner which means they might follow you around. A dog's sense of smell is very great although not compared to that of pigs. Dogs are used during night watches by vigilantes and hunters. They can even detect easily a bad odour. I really love dogs even though I don't own one. When I was little, I can remember we had dogs, beautiful ones in fact. I can only remember two names: Cracker and Bingo. They were really nice pets. ***God can use anything or anybody*** to save one from evil. I can remember vividly what occurred on that day. It was on a Wednesday. We went to church for midweek service which is from 5pm to 6:30pm. We (my mom, sister, 2 brothers and I) came back home after the service so as to be able to prepare dinner on time. We didn't wait for my dad 'cause they had a meeting in their unit. On getting to the junction of our house, we heard our dog barking loudly and we were like, who is disturbing this dog? We got home around 7pm. Getting home, we discovered that nobody was actually disturbing the dog. So what then is the problem? As we were trying to approach the door so as to go inside, the dog did all it could to stop us. My mom was even laughing remembering that she fed it before going out. This went on for about five minutes. Since it was already late, mom brought her phone out and switched on the flashlight only to see not too far from us a very big snake. See why I said God can use anything to save anyone. In our case, he used our dog first and Mom's torchlight to save us. What I learnt from this is that God always speaks to people. We have to learn to be quiet in our mind. I also learnt that God is always there for His people. We should learn to always commit our ways, home, journey and everything into the hands of the Master Keeper. We have also had the not too good experiences with dogs. We've had dogs that ate our chicken's eggs. The worst experience has to do with the one that bite my mom. The dog had rabies and we didn't know. My mom was only trying to give the dog food o. It lost its patience and bit her. That was the height of it. My mom got very angry but first, she went to the hospital, got tested and bought the prescribed medication. After three days, the dog died. And my mom totally lost interest in taking in another one. It's not like we (my siblings and I) didn't try to convince her, but, every time we do, she tells us we are only saying that because we were not the ones bitten by it and that she amongst lost her life. Anyways, that's that. ***Thanks for reading✨. If so,hope you*** ***enjoyed it? Give a thumbs up if you did.***

A skill has to do with how well you can do something as well as your capacity to do such thing. You might have that ability in you but going out of your way to learn and acquire these skills will help you a lot. We have diverse skills. You might choose to learn more than one. Among these skills are: Hairdressing Bead making Fashion design and Embroidery Photography Catering Barbing Painting Wood/furniture making Makeup and nail polishing and lots more We live in a digital world so you can as well learn a digital skill. Skills like: Editing and graphic design Freelancing Affiliate marketing Writing on platforms like read.cash and noise.cash Don't be redundant. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it! Get a skill. Get knowledge for knowledge is power. Learn, unlearn and relearn as many times as you need to. So, I'll be explaining some of the skills listed above for a better understanding. *****Hairdressing*****: This is the art of washing, retouching, setting, plaiting and making one's hair beautifully. You can make your hair in braids, twists, weaving and fixing weavons. A person who does this is called a ***hairdresser.*** *Perhaps you have a younger sister, why not practice with her hair. And if you don't, get a doll. Just like me, I learnt how to plait hair through my mom 'cos anytime she is plaiting my sister's hair, she'd ask me to finish the tip either by braiding or twisting it. As time went by, I was able to make my sister's hair all by myself and then my cousins and neighbours started coming. You can also learn this skill-hairdressing from a professional. Get trained under such person. And if it's watching videos on YouTube that works for you, fine.* *****Bead making:******This involves connecting beads both big and small to form a pattern or design. Beads can be used to make bags in different sizes, necklace/chain, wrist chains, ankle chains, waist chains, crown,ring amongst others. Here, the major equipment needed are beads, needle, fishing line, elastic, hook, stopper, cutter etc.* *Beads in Nigeria have different purposes. That is, people wear beads for a reason. It is used to signify chieftaincy and kingship. In case you've come across a man wearing big beads in broad daylight, it means he is from a royal family. Wearing of beads is also commonly used in the Eastern part of Nigeria like among the Igbos, Efik and the Calabars.* I also know how to make beads, still learning though. The only thing with this skill is that it is time consuming.You have to dedicate hours and sometimes days to complete the bead but, at the end, it will be worth your effort. This is just to give you an idea of what you might have signed up for. The major things you need as a tailor are needle, thread(s), a sewing machine,a weaving machine, a notebook, a biro and a tape rule. You can create and recreate styles you like by being creative, trained and practicing every single thing learnt for mastery. *****Photography***** *: This is the art of taking photos often and professionally with devices like a phone or a camera as well as editing those pictures on photo shop.* ***Conclusion*** Make sure you are not idle. Strengthening Your Mindset You can make a big difference in your family, school and even in your community. It's all about having the right mindset. Everything,including success and failure start from the mind. ***Stop*** ***thinking*** ***failure***! Our mind is like the bits put in the horses'mouths which makes them obey us and we even get to turn about their whole body. Even so is our mind, it controls us. You have a job interview, start seeing yourself employed or as a staff already. A positive and strengthened mindset give you energy from within. Perhaps, you believe in God (I do), pray to Him and study His Word. Also, have your own mantra-a phrase often repeated to oneself. Phrases like: I can do it, I am not a mistake, I can achieve whatever I put my mind to, I can do better, I won't give up etc. You can add yours to the list.

Putting Up With Family Drama Perhaps you belong to a family where you think everyone has the same right irrespective of your culture, then, we're in the same shoe. Or you did a job well but got less all in the name of being the "last born" or the younger one, then, this shoe we share it. But despite all these, we still put up or try to put up with our family, why? It's because we love them. So to put up with any drama coming from parents, siblings and even your extended family, the first thing you will need is: "Love".You need to open your heart and love people regardless of who they are or what they might have done to you. It's time to start counting the good deeds someone has done for you and start overlooking the errors and mistakes because until then can you experience love. Remember, to receive love, you must be willing to give love. ~Peace
