Practice Gratitude I will tell you a short story about a blind boy that will somehow tell us what is gratitude.
There was a blind boy who sat on the steps of a building and a hat by his feet. He is holding a sign which says, “I am blind, please help”. He only receives a few coins in the hat, just some spare change from the folks who hurriedly pass by. Then, there was a man who walks by. He put a few coins and dropped them into the hat out from his pocket. He then grabbed the sign and turned it around and wrote some words. After writing he put back the sign to the young boy's hand so that the new words will be seen by everyone who walks by. Then the hat began to fill up. Many people are giving money to the blind boy compared to before. Later that afternoon, the man who changed the sign returned to see how things work. “Are you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?” asked the boy as he recognized the footsteps of the man. “I only wrote what is the truth. I write what you said but in different ways” “Today is a beautiful fay, but I cannot see it.” That's what I wrote, said the man. Both signs speak the truth. The first sign simply said you are blind, while the second sign conveyed to everyone who walks by how grateful they should be because they can see.
When your life is filled with troubles, it seems very difficult to maintain an attitude of gratitude right? All we see was our problems like we are cursed. And when we are at times when everything seems going smoothly, we often take these moments for granted too. We are too spoiled with bliss, comfort, familiarity, and all of it. We tend to forget how to be thankful. **So what then is gratitude?** In simple notation, gratitude is a habit. A feeling of appreciation regardless of whatever circumstances you are in whether you like it or not. It's a way of looking at the world from positive angles. A heart-centered approach to being at peace with yourself and with what you have is **gratitude**. It attracts even MORE things to be thankful for when you keep practicing the feeling of gratitude.
Always look at the bright side of your situation, we all have difficulties nobody exists without it we just have to look at the brighter side of everything to make things easy going or at least gives you a little hope and peace. They are a lot of things to be grateful for just have the attention to recognize all of it. Have you ever say thank you when someone offers you help? when someone helps you to finish a task? when someone consoles you when you are down? when someone extends their hands when you fall and helps you get up? Have you ever say thank you to those people who offer you to earn some extra? Or help you find a job? Have you ever whisper into the wind “Thank you, for the free oxygen ”. Have you ever say thank you even for the tiniest things you have?
Gratitude is also a feeling of being thankful when someone is there extending their help even if you didn't ask them. Always practice gratitude because not everyone does not possess what you have.

The story was really heart touching. Hope all people are like the man ❤️
Yeah, I hope so dear friend. I thought you are sleeping now 😁😆
I believe it is one of the fundamental feelings that is essential in the pursuit of happiness in our lives. Otherwise, we all miss a crucial point.
Exactly dear, if we don't know gratitude then we will never know how to be happy genuinely.
Gratitude is utang na loob in tagalog po, right? Gratitude is like thanking the person or people in a good way po or u r the one who help them when they happen to need your help too, having a gratitude po is a positive n good attitude po, khit na ndi po humingi ng kapalit ung taong tumulong po sa inyo dpat po tumulong po kau sa iba na nangangailangan din po ng tulong po
I don't know but if you research gratitude it's about being thankful, maybe it's appreciating everything you have even the little things.
I see po :)
Strange, I have read that story about the blind boy very recently. Was it maybe one of your recent articles? But I cannot find it any more...
Hmm, I haven't posted about this before this is the first time. Maybe you read it somewhere this story is circulating.
I think being thankful is just a temporary feeling while gratitude is something more than that lime deeper appreciation of how things are coming may it be good or bad. It's about finding what's there to appreciate something worthwhile 😅
If you research the meaning of gratitude it all says about being thankful. I think it's about appreciating everything regardless of the size I mean you know how to be thankful even for little things, because if you don't practice being thankful then how can you execute gratitude?
Yup, may it be good or bad, you still learn to appreciate it. So being thankful is the first step of gratitude? Hehe
Yeah, exactly the first step 😅

That story was so touching, but yeah, my Parents and My Pastor always talk about the attitude of gratitude, so I think you're very correct in saying it's a habit and way of life. If we all stop complaining about the things we don't have, we would see all we should be grateful for.
Yes, it is indeed touching. Yes practicing it will make a habit and you will live by it. That's a good realization, I glad this one makes you realize to complain less and appreciate more. Keep it up. Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
This is a thing that should be taught to kids.. Always say thank you even to simplest things in this world..
Yes, because if they will be thought early it will become a habit to them, and hearing thank you from kids is good to eardrums.
True. Ang cute kaya
I've read that story from a facebook post several months ago 😅 And yes gratitude is very important and at a young age, kids should be taught about it. Being grateful actually has a lot of benefits. First, cultivating a grateful spirit can help us to have a positive view of ourselves. When we are used to offering or saying words of gratitude, we are likely inclined to feel good about ourselves and the one who receives *thanks* feels better too. Second, always showing gratitude can strengthens friendship too. All of us needs and wanta to feel appreciated. When we sincerely thank another person for a kind act or gesture, it can draw us closer to them. Furthermore, grateful people are more likely to be helpful people. when we feel grateful and notices every act of kindness expressed to us, we are moved to be kind in return. Helping others leads to happiness. It is just as Jesus Christ said: “There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving." I must say that having a grateful heart is one of the ways to living a happy life 💕 P.S. keyboard warrior back in action 🤣
Omg I can't say anymore you have said it all 😆 welcome back to being a keyboard warrior.
haha I missed doing this actually
Never read this one before yet i read so many stories that have to do with gratitude. I wonder if they ever adapt it though
It depends on the person if they will adopt it.
Probably but some just adapt it on the day they read then after that they forget about it and it's sad
That is temporary gratitude 😆
Let's be grateful for everything we had :)
Yes, agree with you
