Life Lately: Healing, Struggles, and Small Joys
Hello everyone! How are you all? It’s been a year since I last visited this generous website where I discovered many virtual friends and where I first started my journey as a writer. But should I still call myself a writer even though I’m not that good at creating blog content yet? Lol. 😅 So, how has life been after not posting here for so long? To be honest, it hasn’t been the same as before. I used to write a lot about my full of positivity and good lifestyle, but now my life feels more like an up-and-down roller coaster ride. And honestly, I don’t know if the version of my life I used to write about here will ever come back the way it was before. Just like I used to share in my short posts before—yes, I can’t hear well now. I started using a hearing aid this year,
and honestly, it’s been kind of depressing because my left ear can’t hear anything anymore, and my right ear is also starting to become unclear. But thanks to my hearing aid, even though I can’t hear on my left side, I can still hear clearly on my right. I also went through some mental health struggles because of this. My relationship with my mom hasn’t changed either—she’s still a toxic parent, and our arguments have only gotten worse. I can honestly say that my heart has distanced itself from her now. I once worked at a salon for a short time as a makeup artist. I also had side gigs as a home-based hair and makeup stylist for different occasions.
That’s the only work experience I’ve really had, since I never got the chance to continue my studies. Sadly, all the plans I once wrote about here never came true. 🥹💔 My love life? Nah, I don’t really have one. But I did fall in love with someone who, I can say, became one of the important lessons in my life. It was just a one-sided love—a crush. And even though it hurt when he didn’t like me back, I still consider it a beautiful experience because it was the first time I truly loved someone with all my heart. In the past, I was always the one being liked first, so I never experienced loving someone so deeply that I felt like I lost myself. But with him, I enjoyed the feeling of loving. He became one of the reasons why I still have fun memories to look back on from before I lost my hearing. ☺️
But despite all the struggles I went through, I was still able to celebrate my 25th birthday 2 months ago. Wahhh! I was only 19? 20? or 21? when I met this generous platform where I earned Bitcoin Cash and met a lot of people virtually, not just here in the Philippines but also from the other countries. Hello, my dears! I hope you can still read this blog about me. I hope you can also update me on how you all are right now. I really miss the old friends I used to interact with here—especially those times when we would always tease *"Rusty* "! 🥹😆 Oops! Just like my age, I’m not getting any younger either. I’m officially an auntie—a Tita! But not the rich kind of Tita… just a Tita with no big *dyoga* and no *jowa*. 😂 Yup, you read that right! I now have one nephew, and he is just soooo, soooo, soooo cute just like me! 😌He’s also been my reason for waking up early in the morning for the past five months. *(I can't show you his face sowey!)* Hmmm...Even though I didn’t get to pursue my dream of going to college, I’m still trying to learn and grow as a person. Right now, I’m focusing on fixing myself and my life. I don’t know if I’ll still find a way to reach my dreams in the future, but for now, my priority is my mental health. I read books every day, and I even attended mass last Sunday, I also travel sometimes.
I just want to take care of myself first, because if I don’t heal and put myself back together, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to return to the person I used to be. So, this is the only life update I can share with you for now. I know some of my virtual friends already know a bit about this since I’ve stayed in touch with a few of them. But I decided to come back here and be active again—because why not? I want to keep writing my random thoughts here while this website is still alive, especially after finding out that some of my fellow writers are still active.
