Another Virus? Another Lockdown? January 6, 2022. Thursday. The number of new **Covid cases** today too much. It seems that recently it was only in the hundreds, before the end of the year there were only a hundred Covid cases. But now that the new year has begun, the Covid cases has come up again and it is no longer just hundreds because now it has more than **10,000 cases** a day.

It seems that recently we are happy because the number of Covid cases in our country has decreased and we are gradually returning to normal, where many people are coming out again and we no longer wear **face shields** and we no longer need **quarantine pass** to go out, we are able to dine-in at various fast food chains and resturants, walk the streets and roam with our friends, seniors and children are also able to get out. But now that it seems like everything is coming back to us, what happened before is coming back where the health protocol and health restrictions will be tightened again.

I saw in the news last night that in **Manila**, unvaccinated people will not be allowed to go out or they will be banned from roaming the streets. But health experts also say that whether you are vaccinated or not, there is still a chance that you will still be infected with new viruses that are spreading today. So there should be no discrimination between vaccinated and non -vaccinated people because both can still be infected.

It depends on the person whether or not they really want to get vaccinated as long as they always follow health protocols and take care of themselves and their health against the virus. But I know that almost half of the people in our country have been vaccinated or even more because even young people are now being vaccinated by the government.

But they say that no matter how careful we are, we can't really avoid the virus because we can't see it. ***This is the enemy that we can't see so it's really hard to fight.*** The type that you don't even go out of your house and you're still infected with the virus, because the air carries the virus to our households. So it is up to us how to take precautions so that we do not get caught or infected by these viruses quickly. But it is worrying what will happen in the next few days, if the Covid Cases continues to rise again, it will ensure that the whole country will return to what happened before. A lot of people will be poor and hungry again. So I hope that doesn't happen again. The number of Covid Cases in our country should not increase, everyone should be careful, but I said earlier that whatever we are careful, it is really difficult to prevent the virus so maybe people should just be disciplined. They should think carefully about the situation and hope that other people will not disobey rules, especially since they know that the restrictions is being done for the good of all. Just like a woman who is now famous as ***“Poblacion Girl”*** is what they call her, she violated her quarantine just to go to the party which was later reported that she was not invited to the said party. Hopefully, people will be disciplined and don't imitate her, who put her happiness first and eventually many people became infected because she was infected with the "**omicron**" virus. But no matter what happens, don't lose hope. We can also overcome it as long as we help each other and take care of ourselves. Whatever viruses they invent (char), I mean, what ever viruses are spreading, we can also supress it with God's help. God knows how much we want to go back to our normal lives so let's just trust him and he will take care of us all.
