Myth Vs Fact
Hello Readers!!!
1. Chameleons
Chameleons only change their color for camouflage It's wrong, fact is that chameleon only change their color to reflect their mood or to maintain the body temperature may become dark to absorb more heat whereas a chemeleon with hot sun's heat in order to remain cool. They also change their body temperature to communicate with each other.
It is also possible that they change their skin skin color to protect themselves from preyers and other danger. Make chameleons turn their pale color to bright color just to their dominanace, they may become darkness when when they get aggressive. Chameleons change their color with the situation and condition they examined.
2. Lightening
I am accustomed to hear that lightening never strikes in same place twice. Is it true? Let's see about it.
The true fact is that lightening of ean strikes near the same place a lot more than twice but in general lightening choose the tallest spot as it's target. This long held myth is far from the reality.
People also take this myth as a phrase that "whatever bad things has happened, it won't be again" which is totally unbelievable. Can you believe that something went wrong or bad with you and it will not happen again with you?
3. Bats Are Blind
There is a common belief which we all believe that bats are blind but do you know that this common belief is not true, can you believe that bats have better vision than human at night. Bats are bot blind they have very small eyes and can see in specific condition such as in darkness because they don't have colorful vision. They don't have the sharp and colorful vision, humans have but they are not blind.
It is true vision. We all believe this myth because we know that bats rely a loton their hearing to get about or may be they don't have the colorful vision as human. They can also see in the day light if they meet the suitable pitch which helps them to see.
4. Goldfish
Goldfish has small memory and same of as believe that goldfish can't remember more things more that of seconds but we believe or not goldfish can remember things more than of myth. Did you why this myth happened? It is because of an animated movie "Finding Nemo" where a goldfish character frequently lost her memory in every 3 seconds and people start saying this myth because of not having scientific backup.
Goldfish has the memory maximum of 5 to 6 montha could be but least 3 seconds as in movie. As in human beings some of us loss our memory in just seconds but it's not mean that human has the memory of just seconds as the same for goldfish we can't say that goldfish has very small memory it's totally wrong myth.
5. Ostirches
Ostriches bury their heads in the earth / soil when they are scared but unfortunately or fortunately this myth is not true, it's a wrong one because and actrich's head is disproportionately smaller than in comparison to it's body so when they eat their food from the ground from a distance it looks as if the actrich has it's head stulfed in the ground . If a astrich do this then it would die from not being able to breathe.
They strick their head in the nests to heat the eggs by rotating them but it's looks like that they are trying to hide themselves from danger which is not true.
6. Owls
Owls can turn their head full circle mean 360 degree which is wrong information. If owls can turn their head full circle then this specific movement can hurt them on damage their bones that would cause them damage but this myth is partially true as owls can rotate necks a maximum of 270 degree without causing any damage means without tearing lendons and without breaking blood vessels.
They can rotate 135 degree left and 135 degree right. They can turn their head half way around because of their unique neck-bone structure.
