Do you want to give back to the society? Instead of giving money, form a process and pay people in that process. If it's healthcare, it's better to pay to hospital directly to avoid abuse. This way you are generating value in some way. Giving charity or cash handing them often does not work well. It's hard to trust the charities and the people involved. Forming a process, being part of that process and ending things on right note helps.

There is a popular saying: "It is better to teach them to fish, than to give them the fish". It is not about helping for the sake of helping, or giving a few bucks, it is about creating a real help, that is lasting, and if it can involve more people, all the better.
