Software developers make SAAS subscription products. Entertainment people make subscription platforms. Govt and utility services are recurring subscriptions. What about writers? We write something and only get ttiped once or get upvoted for it once. We stop writing, we can't meet monthly targets. We can make products but unless we have a strong following we can't earn. What actions writers should take to change this?

...building own content platforms where the content is constantly stored and offering the content only against a subscription fee (maybe monthly/yearly) but there are costs then also for the content hosting ;)
Oh I hate that. Had a recent issue with Microsoft. I have a perfectly good Office 2010 but when I got a new computer it wouldnt work so I had to buy an updated version. It was either a subscription of a very high one off price. I went for the latter because overall it will work out cheaper - but i still feel cheated and robbed
