Don't do what is wrong, you can choose from anything that is right. Research natural law, it is built into humans, and it is decided, forever, outside humanity. There is no punishment for braking that law, other than you will have less than a full life. You have no duties outside what you promise. You can turn your back on anyone for no reason. Nobody have the right to be a friend of yours.
