It's cold here now - minus 15 degrees C - the power prices shot up to double of normal price. The price is market based, that is why we always have power here. ... but a powerful storm could take down the lines, that happened here 25 years ago. Monday came, everybody was off to school or work, and there was nobody home to keep the fire in the stove running. We had to abandon the house for a few days, until it was repaired. It took days, because the lines to many houses were ripped off by the storm. Luckily, we could move in to my sister.
