What an awful event happened to a friend of mine, sadly a true story. A scandal was born and all names of people under judgment were published. One of these has the same name and surname of my friend, and a website of a business federation published all his data with a wrong affiliation, the name of his company. Unfortunately he is the only inside that company, so he was compromised by a single article. His bank called him because a data matching software they use launched a warning over his data, and he was doing huge investments through the bank. Fortunately the bank understood immediately that it was a mistake (his company does not work in sector invested by scandal). Furthermore I helped him to write a letter to webmaster under privacy law to remove all direct and traced contents. In these last years my friend had personal and professional dramas which could strongly affect his life, but no one read this article in his circle. The last thing I said him: next time take a little part of that money, invest anonymously in crypto, and you’ll avoid to be traced by personal data matching softwares 😉
