Yes, energy consumption matter created a market, fortunately. Elon Musk tweets, which launched concerns about climate performances of various coins, are interested comments, but the question is real: is energy consumption an important feature in crypto adoption? Surely it is. Meanwhile it’s also a complex matter: it changes along time, when blocks are gradually mined, and so energy performance is going to increase also for Proof of Work (PoW) blockchains. We cannot forget that BCH blockchain is highly performing even if based on PoW, don’t forget it. And XRP as a model in this field is ridiculous: in my opinion a bad coin is a bad coin despite of energy consumption. In any case ADA is in a strong position, this is clear under all points of view.
