History of DEFI and smart chains is so brief that scam is not a deadly threat. Yesterday some noisers were so disappointed about two tokens running on smartBCH which revealed as scam. Loosing money is horrible, but a complex ecosystem requires long term (several months) to become robust, and new, cheap fees chains are a perfect cheese for scammers. BSC, the Binance Smart Chain, experienced the same after few months after launch. During 2021 early spring 90% of projects revealed themselves as scam, in a well coordinated wave between criminal groups. The perspectives are different if we speak about security. Recently Charles Hoskinson, most famous founder of Cardano, launched a prediction: bigger DEFI that nowadays dominate market (Ethereum and BSC based, soon Polygon and Solana) will disappear in some years because they’re missing internal security. I don’t know if Hoskinson’s is a spot for Cardano smart contracts, but some data about 2021 software bugs and cyber attacks seems to confirm that security is a real and great problem. So, diversify as possible among cheap fee chains, this is my strategy. That’s why I’m so concentrated on smartBCH.
