Iron based batteries could replace lithium based to store energy in big renewable energies plants, to make energy net more stable? The entry level of iron batteries is 200$ per KWh, litium has reached 350$ per KWh declining costs by 90% in 10 years. So lithium batteries are a mature tech in comparison to iron ones, therefore we could expect a similar behaviour in concurrent techs. It could mean 20$ per KWh in 10 years, the real goal to rely upon a battery based energy storage. Without these prices all technologies are not cost effective to boost energy transition.
