Weather is still cold but I'm hoping it's just the weekend, it wasn't as cold as everyone made out like it'd be at least not for us.

Finally repotted my gourd seedlings, these two have done great.

So many planes in the sky lately, it saddens me to see the sky all polluted like this, I would like a lot less planes in the sky even none, but thats easy for me cause I never plan on flying again, I hate it.

Newest members of our family. These beautiful ladies are two bluebells and a light sussex.

My pumpkins are doing good, as are my two ornamental gourds and the two cucumber plants I got off a friend look to be doing well. I really hope I get a really big pumpkin this year 🎃

I am delighted with my peas, half is purple peas which we got from a plant last summer and the rest are green peas. Everything in the second tray is doing great as well sweet corn, basil, courgette, brussel sprouts 🌱

It's snowing! This better be the last of the cold, I want to start planting stuff and going outside

Our purple sprouting broccoli, got the seeds from a plant last year so it's exciting to see it growing so well

The morning was icy but the afternoon has been lovely and got loads done outside.

The chickens seem to like their coop but I still think I'll bring them in at night, the early mornings before we wake are still icy and they're only young girls, I also like seeing them 😊

Finally the weather was nice enough to do some work outside, I got my big pumpkins transplanted and some of the other plants who were outgrowing their little pots. I had a few failures but thankfully most seeds were successful, God is good to us.

Today was predicted to be raining and cloudy but they were wrong, it turned out to be a beautiful day. It's warm and sunny 🌞 perfect day to get some planting done 🌱

It's a misty one this morning but the cold is at least gone, I was finally able to bring one of the dogs for a walk.

The mist went away and the sun came out, thank God because I had a lot of gardening to do no matter the weather they had to be done.

I planted strawberries, 12 altogether, this planter can hold upto 32 strawberry plants, I plan on filling it, we love strawberries in our house 🍓

Transplanted my sweet corn 🌽 and courgettes 🥒 also planted more seeds. I unfortunately ran out of compost before I could do everything, hopefully tomorrow will be as nice as today 🙏🏻

Not as nice as yesterday, a bit gloomy but at least it didn't rain so I got some gardening done 🌱

Today I got my peas transplanted, I bought cheap growbags for them and they seem great, as long as they do the job I'll be happy. I still need to add the supports for the peas.

The chickens are settling in nicely, and I already want more, this coop can only fit 4 birds so can only get 1 more before we need to buy another coop 🐔

I bought organic oregano and thyme for my chickens, it will help their health and brighten up the coop 🐔

I think one of our chickens may be a rooster 🐓 she made a few strange noises yesterday, sounded like an attempt to caw, hopefully I'm wrong cause our neighbours won't be happy with us having a rooster haha we'll find out soon enough.

This is the only bit of life I've seen in my Irish apple tree 🍎 at least I know it's alive, I really hope I get apples off it this year 🤞🏻

My three and a half year old son is obsessed with aeroplanes so we like to bring him to watch them land and take off ✈️ he gets crazy excited when he sees them.

Got my fenugreek planted, I'm looking forward to this, it's believed to help with milk supply and when I was struggling to breastfeed my first baby it really helped me, so when my little Katie arrives I'll have my own homegrown organic fenugreek if I need it 🤱🏻

There is a group of older men and women in my neighbourhood who do such an amazing job keeping our little village spotless and pretty, they plant beautiful flowers all over the place and clean up rubbish that is usually thrown from cars driving through 😔 I wish people had more respect for other people's homes, it is a joy to walk and see their hard work looking so beautiful.

I just added these to the coop, oregano and thyme and I'll be adding sage when I get it, there is mint outside the coop to deter rodents as well. They seemed interested, I hope they like it and I hope it grows okay in the coop 🐔

Dandelions, when I was a kid we called these 'pissabeds' and we believed if you ate or even picked them you would piss your bed that night haha the silly things young kids make up and it's a pity because dandelions are full of vitamins and minerals, it is actually very good for you especially the green parts.

They got the cutest young donkeys at the farm, they look so fluffy and they are super friendly.

Went to a lake nearby to feed the ducks, we bought a bag of duck & swan feed so we were sure what we were feeding them was safe and healthy. My eldest son had a great time 🦆

Lots of lovely sheep with some little lambs, all looking good and strong, they must have a good shepherd taking care of them 🐑

I love daisies, I even named my childhood dog daisy. They grow everywhere here, when I was a little girl we would weave them together to make daisy chains, I look forward to doing this with my little girl.
