He Will Provide For You The situation you are passing through, I might not understand your situation. I really don’t. But I know Someone who does, He knows how dire and difficult your situation is, and how pressing your needs are. He knows about the cash-flow problem in your business. He knows about the payments you need to make this week. He knows! He does have intimate knowledge of all that you go through and the pressures you face, but He is telling you that you have a heavenly Father who wants you to release your worries to Him because He will provide for you

I imagine that as our Lord Jesus taught from the Mount of Beatitudes and directed the people to look at the birds flying overhead, He would have then turned to them and pointed at them before saying, your heavenly Father feeds them. He did not say, My heavenly Father feeds them.” He deliberately chose the word your. This word is so beautiful and important in our understanding of what Jesus was trying to convey here.

Our Lord Jesus then posed an important question that I encourage you to meditate on today: Are you not of more value than the birds? I love how our Lord Jesus used examples that the people could easily understand. During His time, birds were cheap. In fact, He even tells us that you could buy two sparrows with just one copper coin. They were of little value. And yet, our Lord tells us that not even one of them is forgotten before God—not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without God knowing it.
