Former Homeland Security legal head hired by Libra Association.

Libra Association the group behind the Facebook-associated digital currency, Libra has hired former U.S. Homeland Security Department General Counsel Steve Bunnell as its chief legal officer. Somee have it that hiring of Bunnell illustrates the Libra Association's continued push to win the favor of U.S. legislators by way of hiring former government officials. He will replace a former director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network   He has past experience with data privacy and security at law firm O'Melveny & Myers, where he acted as an advisor on the creation of the Crypto Rating Council. Such, he may bring some much-needed expertise to Libra following a multitude of data privacy issues from Facebook over recent years.
