The BTC El Salvador adoption story is as dissapointing as it is detrimental to crypto (and Bitcoin). In order for El Salvador citizens to be able use BTC without problems, they will have to use custodial Lightning solution like Strike. Not decentralized, custodial, with KYC and subject to seizure. It doesn't get anymore anti-Bitcoin and crypto than that. This is why I am all in on Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and not BTC! #BTC #Bitcoin #crypto #BCH

The upside is it makes the average person familiar with crypto, the usual regulations, fees, poor service and govt confiscation of lightning held deposits will soon make people look to the FREE money options like BCH.
I hope you're right. However, I suspect it will a minority of people that actually experience seizure. Most people don't understand the difference between having their money in a bank (custodial) and having self-custody of their money (non-custodial wallet), and even when they have it explained a lot seem to not care (but maybe that last point is mostly a western phenomenon because banks in the western countries are usually quite stable).
