This video is both encouraging and at the same frustratingly depressing. El Salvador has indeed many places where Bitcoin (BTC) can be used. However, since it is BTC, it is either very expensive because of the online fees, and in other places you have to use custodial solution like Strike or you can use Muun wallet (non-custodial Lightning wallet). However, since Lightning is so broken as it is, the journalist never manages to figure out how to make it work. Sigh... So good news: If you can get it to work, you can actually use crypto in El Salvador. Bad news: It's BTC and hence expensive and/or clumpsy and hit and miss with Lightning. If only they used Bitcoin Cash (BCH)...or Dash or Litecoin for that matter. Things would be MUCH easier and smooth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1cIH1ZB70o
