Die Lohndrift nach unten hat zur Folge, dass die Abgeordneten erstmalig in der Geschichte des Bundestages weniger Geld erhalten: Ab Juli sinkt die monatliche Entschädigung um 70,58 Euro auf 10.012,89 Euro, wie einem Schreiben von Bundestagspräsident Wolfgang Schäuble zu entnehmen ist. Hatten die Parlamentarier früher zum Ärger der Boulevardpresse selbst über ihre Diäten abgestimmt, so ist das Salär nun an die Lohnentwicklung gekoppelt. Und da fehlt es an guten Nachrichten.
