Why do we work?

For money, would it be your answer to my question? Do not think badly of yourself, it does not mean that you do not love what you do, or do not have values. Not a few say that the essential reason why we work is because of the monetary income that we take home each month. Certainly, being able to generate economic income to pay taxes and personal expenses is a key reason to go to work, but it is not the only one that is clear.

Some may pursue leadership positions, reach a position of greater responsibility or power, face difficult challenges and unattainable goals, the satisfaction of success, recognition and prestige, the feeling of contribution when solving a problem, to leave a legacy or to help others. Others continue to grow and develop, as professionals.

Learning to know our personal reasons and what motivates us to work allows us to avoid the risk involved in making decisions based on common myths without any basis or support: one that emphasizes that when you have reached a certain status of your monetary accounts, you no longer need to work; and that money or material benefits are everything. Knowing what moves us is an important act of personal loyalty that enables us to achieve professional success, job continuity and satisfaction in what we do.

Human motivations can have elements of material stimulation and there is no reason to demonize this. The basic issue is how to get people to want to work and to be able to satisfy their shortcomings and basic needs in life. There is no perfect society, you will always see in a corner of the curve a series of people who do not join a life project.

That people love work and everything will be solved, will it be that simple? Love is not gratuitous. Sometimes and not infrequently, we love our profession, or what we study, but we must work in other areas to meet the needs of life.

What motivations make you get up every day to go to work. For your family, personal satisfaction, contribute a grain of sand to society, do you like your profession or be useful.

The diversity of human motivations regarding work activity are immense. You cannot judge or demonize the fact that people work in search of a better profit and salary income, and think that in this way we are making people money, because behind this money that is a requirement of daily life, there are values essentially human like love of family. Family building is an essential motivator. In addition, the values of society condition people and make them feel motivated to work, because they are forced to face their relationship with society.

The motivation to work is not getting up every day ready to go to work, happy and content, because there are days when the least we want is to go to work, but there is a concept of responsibility, and you reactivate your motivations that at a certain moment they can be lost. The fact that people want more, that they have no obstacles, and that in turn a set of social problems are resolved is what we seek to achieve.

The third part of our life we spend working, count, 8 * 3 = 24, 8 hours we sleep, 8 hours we work, 8 hours in other personal matters. It is an elementary arithmetic, in the mathematical equation of our day to day, therefore if that third part that represents the work activity, we do not do it with desire, with desires, if we do not live it, then it will be very sad.

And you, why do you work?

Thank you if you made it this far, it was all for today, see you between the lines.

When I started my career, my only motive was to make a lot of money. In fact, I was looking forward to recovering the money I invested in education. However, gradually my perception changed. These days I work to remain sane.

I work, quite simply, for a future. For me, I don't think of a paycheck as just a means to an end. If I can earn as much as I can, live frugally, and save and invest, there will come a time when I no longer need the work. My money will make plenty of money to satisfy my financial needs.

I will never get to that end if I don't work for it along the way, and earn it.

Just my two cents.

I work because I love pleasures that can be afforded with money... Traveling, good food, nice clothes, nice events etc. But I also work because I must pay my bills, bank loans... That is the bad side. 😊

I do not see the bad side, in the end that bank loan solved a problem in your life, taxes are benefits that we obtain from society, in short it is an endless cycle, work, money, life.

We work not for the love that we are been paid money but the fact that we reach the top and provide something reasonable daily for our daily upkeep.

We work to survive and pay for what money buys, as well as to feel useful. I wonder if money did not exist, we would work, of course, in fact the first men worked to survive and it was not thousands of years after money emerged.

If you tell me, I would say you need to work to survive. Making money is not the only goal. We work to bring success in life to reach our goals.

It's true, our goals don't necessarily have to be achieved with our pockets full.

Not only for money. We work to achieve a feat to get ourselves to the top of it.
