Show me a man who feeds on protein every day of his life and I will show you a man who is diagnosed with excess protein in his body. What am I saying here? There must be moderation in all that we do be it the food we consume, the games we play and most importantly our lifestyle. This article is geared towards a better understanding and balanced way of child upbringing which will enable every parent to understand that even as you train your child, moderation should be your watchword in all that you do.

Let us look at alcohol consumption in our lives. Alcohol, as we all know, is among the things the human body needs to function well but if it is in excess, it becomes detrimental to the human body and not just that, it can lead to serious and life treating situations. This is the reason why moderation must come into play.

I can go on and on about things and how excessiveness can become dangerous to the human body but I will stop here just to go straight to the main purpose of this article.

Let me make it clearer. While I was growing up my parents bought domestic games such as ludo, chess, scrabble, monopoly etc just as a way to keep our minds engaged. What do we see nowadays? Most parents just allow their children to live the way they want and the parents encourage this by not engaging these kids with mental games which will lead to better development of their mental articulation and understanding. I am not in any way saying that those other games that do not necessarily help in the development of their brains are not important rather what I am saying is that there should be a great attempt towards finding a balance to what the children do.

In the same manner, a child who overstretches his/her brain everyday all in the name of working out or solving mental games may end up losing the touch or sense of community life and this is seen in the way he/she dress because he/she will end up losing taste towards the trending things which makes him/her a normal person. Having stated these things, it is an onus on the parents to make sure that their children or wards live a life that is guided under the rule of moderation to avoid raising children who might be seen as either miscreants or less fit to relate with others when it comes to society and association. Let us not forget that children are ambassadors of their families thus there should be proper home training.
