Jenifer felt a cool breeze on the back of her neck as she walked past the crowd, immediately she turned around to see what or who had made her feel such a cool breeze on her neck even in such a crowded place. She looked around nervously trying to pick any odd person or suspect who could have done that to her but as looked around, she felt another cool breeze on her neck again. This made her level of fear increase because she noticed that there was no one so close to her who could have done that. Jenifer was filled with great fear because before she moved to the city her friends told about how spirits fall in love with beautiful girls even without their consent. She was told that any time she feels a cool breeze on the back of her neck that a spirit lover is seriously after her. When Jenifer remembered this, she hurried up with her steps in a bid to get to the house but a voice spoke inside of her and said;
“There is no hiding place for a spirit”…
Jenny as her friends fondly calls her has the kind of beauty that can make a king give away his kingdom just to have her all to himself. There have been series of clashes between men who fight each other over Jenifer. Her beauty cannot be described. Her body shape, height and everything that makes a girl beautiful is all-sufficient for her and she has made enemies with other girls who feel so intimidated with her ever glowing beauty. The last incident that made to move over to another city was when one of the girls in her vicinity planned to kill disfigure her because she thought her boyfriend was ditching her for Jenifer. She made several attempts by sending thugs on Jenifer but each time these thugs come close to Jenifer, her sweet charming innocence will make it so hard for them to hurt her and they will end up letting her go. It is in one of these attacks that the leader of the thugs that captured her pleaded with her to leave town with the intention of becoming her friend in the process. Jenifer packed up her things and moved as far as she could go just to be free from the constant harassment coming from both men and women alike.
“How in God’s name did I get myself into this horror?”
This was the question that was running through Jenifer’s mind as she unlocked the key to her apartment and rushed inside. She could not believe that she has had an encounter with a spirit lover just because she felt a cool breeze on her neck. She tried as much as possible to push off the fear by telling herself that anyone could have blown such a cold breeze on the back of her neck since she walked through a crowded place or better still, it might be her imagination that is playing this horrific prank on her. As she rushed into her room, she quickly shut the door behind her and locked it very carefully. She did that in hope of locking out any spirit or perceived spirit that might have followed her home. Jenny looked around her house just to be sure that there was nothing odd in the room and as she was looking around, she felt a cool breeze on the back of her neck. She could not get herself to believe what just happened so she rushed and turned off her air conditioner which was on as she had left it while going out in the morning.
As she turned off the air-conditioned, she felt yet another cool breeze on the back of her neck but by this time, the breeze was accompanied by a soft kiss on her neck. This experience sent chills all over her body as she tried to move but she felt like one who was glued to the ground. At that moment she felt another kiss on her forehead which made her close her eyes in fear because she could not understand what was happening to her that moment. She felt a cold hand around her waist and suddenly she had a knock on her door and instantly it felt like something had left her. She rushed over to the door and opened it amidst great fear and confusion. When her friend saw her, she knew that all was not well because she was sweating so hard. The moment Jenifer recognised that it was her friend Cynthia, she broke down in tears. She narrated her story to her and how it all started but Cynthia could not believe what she was hearing but she tried to hide her disbelief just to console her friend Jenifer.
Out of fear Jenifer pleaded with her friend not to leave her alone in the house, this made Cynthia sleepover at her place. All through the night, Jenifer could not sleep because she could not get herself to close her eyes. As she kept on turning restlessly on her bed she felt a cold touch around her waist but this time around she could also feel the cold touch between her thighs. It was as if the hand was pushing down her pants to gain access to her body. She tried to stop the hand but she found out that she could not move her body nor scream to get help. As she lay on her bed helpless, she felt a cold kiss on her lips and around her breast. With no clue of what to do, she began to sing a song in her mind and as she continued singing the song, it felt like she gain control of her hands and instantly it was as if something jumped off her body. Jenifer tried to stand up from the bed and instantly she found out that she has been dreaming all this while. She stood up from the bed and looked around just to be sure that she was having just a dream. Jenifer has never felt so afraid all her life but this night has become her worst nightmare, so she thought but how would she have known that her path has crossed with that of a spirit lover.
