Waiting On God

Text: "For since the beginning of the world, men have not heard nor perceived by the ear nor has the eyes seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him". Our God is Omniscient and Omnipotent. He knows our needs and is able to answer our prayers even beyond our expectations. But God sometimes requires that we wait for Him till He accomplishes all for us. He does this sometimes to test our faith and obedience in Him. The period of waiting should not be a period of idleness, relaxation or anxiety. Neither is it a period of seeking alternatives outside God. It is a period of intense prayers, study and meditation of God's word, fasting and every other spiritual exercise. All these will help to build our faith and confidence in God. It also gives us unusual strength and grace(Isa 40:31). With the strength and grace, we will be in the right frame of mind and be able to wait patiently till God acts. King Saul stepped out of the line because he lacked all that it takes to wait. This brought him grave consequences (1Sam 13:8-14). You must not throw away your confidence in God because it has great reward(Heb 10:35). Keep trusting Him for that seemingly impossible situation. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had great confidence in Him so they were not afraid of the fire. They waited for God's salvation and God came for them. Do not be discouraged or tired because "The Lord is good to those who who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him" (Lam 3:25). Shalom
