Stand Out As A Light

MEMORIZE THIS Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Hebrews 1:9 BIBLE READING IS ACTS 6:1-8 1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. 2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. 3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. 4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. 5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch: 6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. 7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. 8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. MESSAGE FOR ALL If you are not prepared to be outstanding or do not know that you are meant to be outstanding, there is no way you can be outstanding. 1 Corinthians 2:12 says: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” Your case is different; you have the Spirit of God within you. Your path is different, you have a higher calling. Unfortunately, some Christians say these things to themselves, but do absolutely nothing about it. You cannot sit with the crowd, be like the crowd and do things like the crowd and expect to be outstanding. The Bible says to whom much is given, much is required. Does the best student in your class read three hours per day?, You have to put in more hours than that. Does the best singer in your music club rehearse so often? You have to rehearse harder. The top position is for you, but you have to pay the price to get it. This is a principle that will never get broken for anyone. Even Jesus worked for every single thing He got while on earth, so who are you to think you don’t need to work hard before good things will come to you? Dear child, wake up. You are not here on earth for jokes. You are here for a divine and unique purpose which requires dogged determination and hard work to fulfill. PRAYER POINT Father, I have decided to stand out. Please let your grace help me to do all the right things and stand out for you in Jesus name. PSALMS 4:1-8, PSALMS 5:1-12, PSALMS 6:1-10, ACTS 16:16-40
