Love: A Pathway to Divine Revelation
Happy Sunday to you all. Hope we listened to sermon today. Well if you didn't, you can read this & learn God's word Let's Go! Text: John 14:21 "He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by my Father and will love him and manifest myself to him." For many of us, we came to Christ not because we love Him but because of the fear of the eternal destruction awaiting those who refuse to come to Him. But as time goes on in our walk with God, all these should change. Unfortunately, many Christians remain in this phase and make no attempt to begin to walk in the love of God. To walk in His love is to live in obedience to God's word. We come to fully understand God's love for us and love Him through the help of the Holy Spirit as He pours the love of God in our hearts (Rom 5:5). As we see in 1st John chapter 3:18, and in John 14:15, we should not just say that we love God, we should prove that we love Him by obeying His word. Through this, Jesus says our love for Him is proven. Also, it is not enough to know the commandments of God but obeying them is most essential. And the result? He says He will reveal Himself to us. Have you been seeking for revelations from God and it's not forthcoming? Ever wondered how Paul got the revelations he spoke about in (2Cor 12:1-4)? Soak yourself in the Word. Next is to live by the word. Let it guide your thoughts, words and behaviour and you will be amazed at how God will reveal Himself to you! Shalom
