Dreaming Isn't Enough.

I know it can take years to become fully comfortable in your skin and embrace the beauty in your “flaws” and “imperfections” but please do not wait until you reach your ideal state of self to love yourself. Your body deserves to be cared for and appreciated through all of its stages. Every aspect of you is worthy of the kindest, gentlest, and sweetest type of love. Adore every part of your body with compliments of passionate admiration, and caress every inch of your body with the touch of an obsessed lover. Your body is a treasure and a masterpiece. You need to evaluate your friendships. Are they making you better, inspiring you to reach your dreams, or are they causing you to compromise, take the easy way out? You’re going to become like the people you continually associate with.

Two things define you, your patience when you have nothing, your attitude when you have everything. Your race has been designed specifically for you. You’re not in competition with your friends, your neighbors, your siblings, your coworkers. The only competition you have is with yourself, to be the best that you can be. Your story doesn’t end with what you lost: a dream that didn’t work out, a relationship that didn’t make it, a business that went down. Favor is coming like you’ve never seen. God is about to do something unusual, something uncommon that catapults you to a new level.

When we are aware, understand it and allow it, our ego can serve, protect, and support us and others; but when we aren’t aware and don’t understand how our ego works, it can use us and others, while serving and protecting itself more and more. Learning how our ego works can help us all. We don’t all have to agree, and that is more than okay. We each have a unique lens, a unique lived experience, and it’s the common threads of the humanity that link us all. May we unite more and divide less, and find our way as best we can in a space of awareness. `“At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It about what you've given back.” –Denzel Washington`

Accept and acknowledge your own brilliance. Stop waiting for others to tell you how great you are! Believe it for yourself. You'll watch an entire Netflix series even when the first episodes are slow just because someone told you “it gets better.” But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead? Today, no matter what you may be going through, make sure to keep the right attitude. Find joy in the midst of your difficulty, knowing that it’s only temporary. Keep moving forward because there is a place of victory and abundance waiting for you.
