I just got back from the first "Christmas party" of the year. One of my clients took the staff to a good Indian restaurant and of course I couldn't miss it. And as it happens, when it costs nothing, you eat more. Much more. I barely made it home and am completely stuffed. I can't show you many pictures because of confidentiality, but this beauty was facing me the whole time. Does anyone know her? What does she symbolise? Or is it simply a dazzle?

Glad you enjoyed your dinner. When the food is good it can be difficult to not overindulge.
I'm not so familiar about Indian culture and history but that one in bronze is an awesome art of sculpture.
It's the welcome lady from Indian history but a different one as she is holding something probably something that will fit with serving in the theme of restaurant, while commonly she is is with a welcome hands joined 🙏 state, outside in many places. Resembling the Indian greeting words 'Namaste'.
Oh, thank you very much for the information. She is holding an umbrella.
What all did you eat? :D
I had samosa, Taj Mahal Kofte, Gulab Jamun, beer and a Methusalem Rum, and that was a little too much. I'm not sure if the dishes are known everywhere in India, but here it's on the menu.
