Taschen-Inhalator mit Gummigebläse – Pocket inhaler with rubber blower 💨 Today I found this strange device at work. It was used to inhale all kinds of substances (essential oils) for medical reasons. You can see the little glass tops that you shove up your nose. This could be the grandfather of all vaporisers and e-cigarettes.

Looks more like an old nasal aspirator. I dunno about adult use, but they're common to use on small babies to help clear their noses. You squeeze the ball on the end, then stick the pipe up their nose and release - it sucks out the boogs and snot lol.
When I was young I had the pleasure to be treated with that thing. We called it the milking machine. That looks very similar. But the inhaler is for inhaling essential oils I guess. There is written "without oil" on the package.
Ah. That makes sense too.
