Ok, for a Monday, plus the first of the year, it was a pretty good day. I expected a lot more stress today but my desk was surprisingly empty. That's the advantage of no longer being alone in the office, colleagues take some of the work off. It's a good thing, I'm slowly getting used to working.

Another sporting evening casts its shadow ahead. The final of the World #Darts Championship starts in about an hour. Michael Smith against Peter Wright, a surprising final but it will be great. Walk of fame I always find it funny when a dog has stepped in fresh concrete and its mark is preserved forever. When I see such a track, I inevitably imagine the moment when it happened and have to laugh. It makes the dog virtually immortal and it's a good symbol for people and dogs living together. Skynet is watching I'm not sure if I find this beautiful or depressing. The star is one of the most beautiful I've seen this winter. It gives a nice warm feeling. A cold, rainy day. I have just come back from shopping for legal drugs (beer, tobacco, coffee) and various other foodstuffs. Now it starts snowing. It's going to be a boring weekend. The plan was for my son to be with me. Unfortunately, the plague prevented that once again. There were positive cases in his class. Therefore, we decided that he would stay at home. Since then, I have been waiting impatiently for his test result today. Hopefully everything will go well.

Diego is sad Two weeks ago, my friend's German shepherd had an accident with a car. The result is a compound fracture in the right front leg and a difficult and expensive operation. He is now quite well again and the wounds are healing but he is forced to spend his time very passively in his box. My buddy sent the photos, maybe I'll visit Diego tomorrow and see how he's doing.

You only notice how much something is missing when it is no longer there. This morning we had no electricity at work, apparently as a result of manipulation by one of the house residents and apparently for a long time. Ok, let's say I want to withdraw my 114 #BAT (~$111) from uphold and send it to another BAT wallet. This costs me $27.91 in fees at the moment. If I send it to a #BCH wallet, it will cost me $0.12. My thoughts tonight are always with an old lady dog who lived with an even older couple in the neighbourhood. Today was her last day. She was eaten away by cancer and almost blind and so they decided today to put her out of her misery. Rest in peace, Frenzy. It was a pleasure to meet you.

I am a member of a cultural association that organises a district festival every year. Today was our meeting. Outdoors, of course, because of Covid, gathered around the bonfire in the cold and wind. In celebration of the new #Beerlovers! Channel, I also treated myself to 2 bottles. Not a small brewery and nothing new either, just a good Březňák, Bohemian pilsner. I'm not sure if I'll drink both bottles today. But better one has than one would have. You can argue about whether beer should be drunk from plastic bottles, but the weight is an unbeatable advantage when hiking. One should never underestimate the great thirst that a hike causes.
