Yesterday I had my first shift as a volunteer for the Fifa Arab cup 2021 in Qatar. Since I was a volunteer, I thought there night not be much work and might be able to still give sometime to Noise platform but it was not possible. I have missed many of your posts and comments and I apologize for that. I am not heading to my work and will try my best to catchup as much as I can π
@Cryptonoob in December 2021
Yesterday was also the opening ceremony of the Fifa Arab Cup 2021. Since it was at Al- Bayt stadium which I was assigned my shift, I mananged to sneak out and attend the opening ceremony π. This is one of the shots from the ceremony and it was very beautiful as they used lights and 3D projections to give amazing effects ππ
Another shot that I snapped while attending the opening ceremony of Fifa Arab cup 2021 yesterday. There was much bright lightening show and so much vibrant atmosphere was created that it was really had to snap some good shots. Still I managed this shot and some others that I will be sharing soon. The best part was the 3D projection of RGB lightsππ
Hey there my IT peeps on noise. Well this is what I do during my volunteering shift at the stadiums. There are some IT related dashboards that we monitor and manage during our shifts. They way they have planned the presentation of dashboard is really impressive and any IT guys would love such setups π
So Noisey people as you know that I had my volunteering shift at another stadium today so I snapped this shot for you guys. This is the Education City stadium that is being used for the Fifa Arab Cup 2021 in Qatar. It was a lovely experience for me today as well. I left a little early as I have work early in the morning today
As promised I am bringing you guys more shots from Fifa Arab cup 2021 in Qatar. This is the second stadium where I have my shifts as a volunteer π. It is called the education city stadium and the most beautiful part I liked about is the RGB lights that chance randomly during the evening hours. It also is a huge structure up close with a capacity of 40K spectators ππ
Today I am attending a class and this is the view from one of the windows of the classroom. The weather is a bit weird with sun behind the clouds yet if is very bright π. Luckily the classroom is sound proof so the helicopter sound did not disturb us during take off and landing ππ
This isa shot from December a couple of years ago. It is Souq Al Wakrah in Qatar and is a popular destination among tourists and locals over the weekends. It is probably one of my favorite night photography shots due to the perfect reflection effect that this shot naturally has π.
What a coincidence, I posted a two years old picture of souq wakrah from my archives in the last post and I am back there again today ππ. I had mentioned that it is a hot spot for weekends and has traditional arabic architecture. In this shot that I just snapped that the walls are uneven and have a build like the olden days
Sometimes I do random photography as wellπ. This is Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar which is build on an reclaimed land. The wooden dow are a part of Qatari culture and portray so much about the tradition of Arabs and their early life
In winter usually in Qatar there are many outdoor activities planned by the local government. One of those activities is the international food festival that has fireworks and water shows for the people to enjoy while they are exploring different food stalls at the festival. Since this year I am volunteering for the Fifa Arab cup event, I could not visit the food festival and snap some photos for you guys. So I am sharing the photos from the last years fireworks ππ
Right now at a mall in the Wakrah area in Qatar. The mall is called ezdan mall Wakrah and I just came here to grab a cup of coffee before I go for my volunteering shift today. The photo is the ceiling of this mall which is kind of fully open and a good source of natural light. I guess during summers the must be covering it somehow as if gets too hot
On the shuttle bus that takes us from the last metro station to AL-Bayt Stadium where I will be having my volunteering shift today. There is a 30 minutes drive from the station to the stadium and that grants me enough time to use Noise cash and respond to comment and make this post as well π. Will be back shortly with more updates about today ππ
So after setting everything up before the match, me and some fellow volunteers were told that we can go enjoy the match if we wanted toππ. Today Tunisia VS Syria is happening at the Fifa Arab cup 2021. Honestly it is one of the perks of volunteering that you can be in the middle of the action and that too for free π π
Its 3am here in Qatar and I am almost home from my volunteering shift. Since the stadium is around 50 kilometers from the city, even the metro takes a little more than an hour go reach there. I snapped this shot of the interior of the metro station next to my house π. Since the metro in Qatar is still relatively new, the interiors are very modern
I have been sharing photos of Al - Bayt Stadium from exterior and havenβt told you how the interior looks like. This is the shot I snapped yesterday after the match ended to avoid any disturbance in my photography ππ . The interior is decorated with stickers that have the traditional red pattern usually Arabs use in their tents. As you can see , the designers really thought it through and made sure not only the exterior but interior also matches a traditional Arabian tentππ
Guys Noise is a bit acting up for me. I am missing many notifications and some notifications are being shown multiple times. Some of the read notifications are appearing againπ§. Have any of you faced anything similar lately? Anyways one of the reason for posting this is also to apologize to fellow noisers whose comments or posts I could not respond toπ
One of the task assigned to me as a volunteer is testing the Wifi in spectators area and find dead zones if any. Just before the start of todayβs match I entered the stadium to assess the situation and see if any extra support might be required. Anyways look like it is going to me all ok and I can watch the match peacefully ππ
I have been sharing so much about my volunteering shifts at the Fifa Arab cup 2021 in Qatar recently that I totally stopped sharing anything about my travels π . So I brought you this shot that I snapped while on a gondola ride in Venice,Italy ππ. It is probably the he most famous and best activity you can do while in Venice βΊοΈ
This hiking trail in Frankfurt,Germany is where I want to be right now π. I can still remember the cold breeze of wind hitting my face and the feeling of freshness and high oxygen atmosphere is really something elseπ. I had found out about this place accidentally but I am glad that accident did happen ππ
Today was such a busy day at work that I was not able to visit the platform for quite a while. My manager went on leave and I deputize him in his absence. Now that is away for two weeks all his tasks get automatically assigned to me. I just found out about 3 more projects that I need to deal with this monthπ π . I want to cry π
My Facebook memories is showing me this shot from three years back π. This is the famous Times Square in New York , USA πΊπΈ. I remember I snapped this using my phone when I went to grab some sandwich for my dinner π. Times Square is such a happening place and it is almost equally busy 24/7 π
Since everyone is sharing some decoration photos from their homes or the neighborhood, I thought I will pitch in too ππ . In Qatar usually the decorations are done during the month of Ramadan and during Eid seasons. Since it is a Muslim country, usually Christmas is celebrated at private levels only. This shot is from last year Ramadan ππ
During my visit to Europe in 2015 I realized that many trains around Europe and the train station give the vibe of olden days. Yet when you get inside the train they are so much more modernized and well maintained. I snapped this shot of an incoming train in Italy when I was heading towards Paris βΊοΈ
Well as I have been mentioning before that I am on strict diet and I am monitoring my calories intake, this was my lunch today π. Before some of start lecturing me that there is carbs in those cereal, I would like you to know that this serving is just 91 calories π and well within what I am supposed to have during lunch π
It is almost 8 PM here and I just got called from work that there is some issue with one of the flight simulators. Luckily I had a small nap after work so I was able to go on call and attend the issue. Not a very good start of the week for me π
A shot from the opening ceremony of Arab cup 2021 which is being held in Qatar right now. Since I am a volunteer at the event, I was able to snap this beautiful shot with some much lightening effect and vibrant atmosphere. It surely is a shot that qualifies for #nofilterneeded π
I just woke up to get really for work and my room is so cold. The moment I got out of my comforter, the felt a layer of cold moving around my body. It immediately reminded me of one cold morning in Gudauri, Georgia π¬πͺ. I remember it was -5 degrees there I had the same feeling while getting out of the bed that day. βΊοΈ
Human nature is weird. I have been waiting for winter all year long as the summer in Qatar is usually too intense. Not that we have winter here in past couple of weeks, I am remembering the time I went to beach for a dip π . This is from last year Banana Island vacation. The best beach in Qatar for sure. π
When you own you dream car but as a toy only ππ . So one of my colleague has this car on his desk and it is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS which is also his dream car. I visited his office to desk some things about a new project and played around with my Phoneβs portrait mode and this was the result I got ππ
Today is my last volunteering shift at The Education City stadium so I thought of sharing these wonderful shots from the interior and exterior of the stadium as a tribute to it. I only have two shifts left and they are at a different venue. So good buy Education City. See you in 2022 during the Fifa World cupπ
It is the season of fireworks in Qatar now a days π. Yesterday again there was a small fireworks show for around five minutes at one of the festivals as part of the winter. Qatar is on a mission to boost its tourism and specially in the month of winter the country spends a lot so that people are attracted to come here. I guess in the next five year Qatar will be one of the tourists favorite areaπ
About last night. My volunteering shift finished around 1:30 am last night. When I reached the metro station it was about 2am and it was fully deserted π± It felt like I am in a scene from one of those horror movies where Zombies come around from everywhere π π . Anyways the metro here is very efficient and almost every 2 - 3 minutes there is a metro available. I didnβt have to wait much thereπ
It is Wednesday, which means it was team building lunch day at work today π. Today was the turn of our Filipino colleague and he decided to order Tacos for usπ. If you see my photo you will see that the guys are nit able to control themselves and hands are moving around the plates π Since I am on diet, I only had two small tacos and now I am feeling guilty
I was invited to a birthday party today. The kids were celebrating birthday of their mom and had ordered this lovely Vanilla fruit cake designed as M which is the first letter of that Ladyβs name. Anyways since I am on diet I only had a small piece but the cake was way too delicious π
So I get up with a very pleasant surprise, I have got exactly 3333 followers π . To be honest my aim is much higher as long as my followers are active like me ππ . Anyways , just now one of the noiser pointed out that this number is quite significant and that it means that angels are watching over. Honestly I usually donβt believe in such myths but it is really good to see reaching this number. Thanks all once again and thank you noise π
I am having the most busy day ever at work. Since I work in IT, I usually have to attend to all the technical issues at the office. For some reason the network has multiple issues with many systems behaving very differently making it very hard to troubleshoot the issues. Since things were getting out of hand, I called in vendor support for some additional helpπ΅βπ«
Well the busy schedule and meetings continue for me still. I am right now on a site visit to our upcoming office location. The building is scheduled to be ready bu mid of January but looks like there is still much work to be done. My bet is that we wonβt be able to move there until March next year. Anyways I have some mockup to look at before I can head home π
The sunset today was simply stunning. Snapped this shot while driving home from work. It was around 4:30 PM when I left for home and is almost perfect time to snap sunsets in Qatar. The spread of clouds today really added a magical effect to the setting sun today. π
Thank God Its Friday ππ. Have a lovely Friday today with one of my Facebook memories from around 3 years agoπ. This is a shot that I snapped while my visit to Northern Areas in Pakistan. It is the the view of a River called βRiver Kinhar o Kunhar as some of the locals there call itβ as it passes between two valleys π. It is kind of the starting point of many such valleys that range all the view to Pakistan - China border ππ
So Tiger is sleeping at the entrance door of my house since morning. For some reason he wokeup a while ago for 20 mins or so and then went back to sleep π . The other cats of the compound are coming every 10 minutes to call him to play but he is being too lazy today to go and play π
For a working guy having an off day is a blessing. Today after lunch I went to this beautiful picnic spot that gives the view of whole Doha skyline and with this wonderful weather it really was a treat. Snapped this using my Iphone π
Today I have another volunteering shift for the Fifa Arab Cup 2021. The Match today is Qatar VS UAE and at half time The score is already 5-0. I am pretty sure at this stage that Qatar will win. I thought of sharing the dinner we get during our shift. It is pretty decent and tasty as well. I took the grilled chicken with rosemary sauce and roaster veggies.
Yesterday I shared a photo of River Kinhar passing through a two valleys in Northern Pakistan. I had mentioned that the river runs all the way to the Pakistan - China border. This is a close up shot of the same river as it passes through Kaghan valley π. The water of this river is usually ice cold as most of it comes from melting glaciers in the summers ππ
So I was out for my weekly grocery shopping and felt like having some sort of snack. Due to my low carb diet, I have limited options π I have seen in movies and tv series that they usually refer to beef jerky as their go yo meal and aways wanted yo try it for my self. Well I just finished having it and honestly it was not that good. π
As I mention in my previous post about river Kinhar in Northern Pakistan that it is mostly formed my melted glaciers from the himayalian mountains, the water is usually ice cold βοΈ. Found this photo of my Red bull being cilled in the river water π . I remember it took me around 3 to 5 minutes to make it cold ππ
Had a heavy and healthy dinner tonight ππ It was Wagyu ribeye steak π₯© cooked to medium and with sauter mushrooms on the sides π. I was craving for a nice steak for a while now and finally got the cravings satisfied π. For drinks I had fresh orange juice. The steak was served with mushroom sauce.
As River Kinhar passes through multiple valleys and mountain ranges as if reached the Pakistan - China border, there are places on the way where it becomes very powerful and has strong current. This photo is of one of those areas. The pressure was a immense that even it is not that deep but it is almost impossible to stand thereβΊοΈ
On Friday when I went to the family picnic spot after my lunch, I managed to snap many shots. One of them was this beautiful sunset shot with palm trees adding to the beauty of this scene π I snapped it while on a club car as I was heading to an area where I could grab some coffee π
Along the valleys in Northern Pakistan, there are mini waterfalls all around where people and street vendors have made spots to sell tea coffee and some local snacks. This is one of those areas that I saw while driving past it. The atmosphere in such places is usually very touristy and fun. But on a trip with limited days, it is hard to stay there longer
One more shot that I snapped this Friday just before the sunset hours from the MIA park picnic spot π. I enhanced the colors using Snapped ,which is a free photo editing application available from Google. Anyways there are some more shots that I will be sharing later π
Since I am talking about River Kingar in Northern Pakistan, this is another one of those valleys which are a pathway for this river. You might be able to see a thin stream of water but when it is summer and temperatures are a little higher, the glaciers melt and that is when the river flows from here with all its might π.
Heading out for a work meeting to our new site. I have been quite busy all day today and I am seriously considering taking a leave adjacent to this week. Anyways when you are busy it is hard to keep track of the time. Another update is that guys I am not receiving any Free tips to share with noisers here so if some of you are thinking I donβt love your posts please donβt be annoyed ππ
The fascinating thing about the locals of Naran and Kaghan is that they spend only six month in the valleys and the next six month they go down towards the north to find areas that are a little less cold. The reason being , these peaks that you can see in the picture become fully covered with snowπ
Qatar is spending loads of money in tourism sector as it wants to be the next hot destination in the Middle East. As part of the winter tourism activities there is a hot air balloon festival hosted here in one of the family parks π. The tower you see in the left is called the torch doha which is a five star hotel βΊοΈ
So yesterday after work and on my way to home I stopped by this newly opened tea stall near our office. I grabbed a cup of tea and noticed that the sunset was really beautiful. Since it is an active traffic area, I had to capture this shot through the windshield of my car ππ I focused on the view and kept the cup of tea in the shot intentionally to give it some dramatic effect ππ
Nothing to see here, just my lunch chilling on my desk ππ . So as part of low carb diet, I decided to have only fruits today. I am having an apple, two mandarins, some grapes, strawberries and some pomegranate π. Of course a box of natural juice would not do much harm π I plan to have only fresh juice for dinner π
As I mentioned that Qatar is spending loads of money in tourism sector and wants to become a destination of choice in the region, the authorities have inaugurated hot air balloon festival at Aspire family park. Usually the balloons take of early in the morning but they perform night glow activities in the evening for everyone to be able to see the balloons in full glory ππ
Today i shared this shot from my trip to Istanbul, Turkey πΉπ· on my Instagram and thought of sharing it here as well ππ. It is the beautiful and vast courtyard of Suliemyne mosque in Istanbul. As I always say, Turkey has to offer so much culture and history and of course the food there is to die for ππ
This is what Feel like getting out of my warm bed early in the morning in this weather π . Luckily I had turned on the water heater so I can have a hot shower early in the morning. This is a shot from my visit Georgia in December of 2018. To be honest it was my first experience with such deep snow and vibes there really amazed me ππ
So I am making a system ready for a training that is scheduled to happen later in the afternoon today. The software to be used is around 4GBs and as per the copying popup it shows that it will take more than a day to finish π΅βπ«π±. The network sometimes acts so slow that you canβt believe that we live in an era if such technology π . Anyways fingers crossed and hoping it will finish in time
Another site meeting today and now the building looks in completion phases. The main rooms that will be used by the staff look almost ready with many others close to be handed over well in time. We were expecting a months delay from the original handover date but now it looks like that it will be a maximum of two week off schedule π
Sometimes I really miss my old apartment. It was at one of the most luxurious and lovely sports in Qatar. The apartment had its own large private beach shared with other towers in the area but it was much fun during summers. The reason I left is that it was really expensive to live there and maintain such a lifestyle. This is one the shot that I snapped when I went for a dip there last summerπ
Right now attending the semi final clash of Arab cup between Qatar and Algeria. It is half time already and Qatar was playing full defense while Algeria was all over them and looks like Algeria might make it to the finals. Anyways I am here to support Qatar and hopefully Qatar will win ππ
A close up shot of Al thumama stadium in Qatar were the 2nd semi final of Fifa Arab cup was played yesterday between Qatar and Algeria. Qatar lost the match but they gave a really good fight and it became a really interesting match specially in the second half. The match finished around 12:00am and it was almost 2 am when I reached home last night, not I just got up after sleeping less than two hours and now I am feeling fully tired and sleepy π΄
I think I really need a vacation as soon as possible π . I am at my office desk right now just going through my photography archives and feeling nostalgic and missing some of the destinations were I traveled or had staycations. One of such destinations is Banana Island in Qatar which is famous for its sunset π π
Resharing is beautiful shot of Caucasian mountains from my trip to Kazbeghi in Georgia back in 2018 π. I still miss the cold weather with temperatures of - 5 degrees and ice cold winds touching the face ππ. I have seen pictures of same place during summer and it turns in a lush green field ππ
The skies were really pretty in the evening today as I was heading home from work π. There was a forecast of some scattered rain but so dar nothing happened and the dispersed clouds really created a beautiful sunset π I snapped it while driving home with my phone
I am sure many of the noisers who are car enthusiasts like myself will know the significance of this car π. It is the Nissan GTR skyline R34 Vspec and is considered as one of the rarest cars in the current market. I was out with friends tonight when ai spotted it π. The best this about this car is the it truly is an engineering marvel π
Throwback shot to when I was in Malaysia and we drove from KualaLumpur to Penang Island π. The highways there are so scenic as there is much greenery to see along the way. Also since Malaysia has kind of a tropical weather, clouds are always there and rain is just around the corner most of the day π
Sunset at Santorini π Back in 2015 when I visited Greece and also stayed in Santorini for two nights, I got to see one of the most beautiful sunset in the world. The Island of Santorini is famous for whitewashed building with blue tombs and sunsets π
The skyline in Doha lights up really nicely as soon the sun goes down. There is a nice spot around the Doha Cornish for a walk and enjoying the skyline. With the weather being really nice now a days, there are many food trucks that serve take away food for visitors. I guess that is a good business strategy for them π
I had the most exciting night with friends last night. We just met for a coffee around 11PM and out of sudden everyone said lets do to the desert for some late night dunning ππ We set of from the city around 12pm and came back after 8am the next morning π. I managed to snap so many beautiful shots to share with you guys and here is one or them π
So just got out of the metro station and got on the bus that will take me to my last volunteering shift in Al-Bayt stadium. There is around 5 minutes walk from metro station to the shuttle bus station and on the way I managed to snap is beautiful sunset π shot ππ By the way today is the final of Fifa Arab cup 2021.
This is another stadium that will be used during the Fifa world cup 2022 at qatar. It is the Lusail football stadium which will host the world cup final. It is shaped like a traditional Arabic dow which used to take the Arabian pearl divers into sea voyages. Snapped this on my way to the volunteering shift π
Let me start the day with one of the most beautiful early sunrise shot that I snapped in a long while. As I mentioned in some of my previous post that I went for late night dunning with friends and stayed there till sunrise, this is one of the shots that I snapped π If you observe closely, it is still night and sun has not started peaking yetππ.
This is another sunrise shot from the exact same spot and was taken just 15 minutes after that one. Notice how the little presence of sun changes the whole scene π. You can observe the clouds are same but the color has changed just because there is more light ππ. I consider myself lucky to have snapped it π
Well as I have been mentioning a night out in desert with the friends, there is a group photo that we snapped with our rides ππ. You might be wondering why it is a little brighter than the night, that is because the low light photography on Iphone is really amazingπ
So the Fifa Arab cup finished yesterday and today we are having a volunteer appreciation party at the biggest indoor amusement park in Qatar called βquestβ. They gave us a voucher for meal and drinks and all the rides are free π. I am not a rides person so I am just enjoying the vibe and will leave shortly π
So the weekend desert trip really tested the potential of our rides as well. Both our rides performed exceptionally and going late at night when there are almost no one else around is an adventure in itself π. The main think to remember is to lower the tire pressure and get the car in 4 wheel mode π
On 17th December the ballon festival in Qatar ended and they had a wonderful fireworks show on the Torch tower in Aspire park π. The reason for it was to mark the end of the food and balloon festival and also Torch tower is the longest structure in Qatarπ
Well today was not a very busy day so I got sometime to explore another potential destination for my next travel plans ππ. I will get to know bu this weekend if I can get enough leave and then I will share with you guys where I am heading π. Meanwhile from the photo can you guess where it could be ππ
Missing the cloudy and rainy season here in Qatar. This shot is from two years ago when we last saw rains here. The snack you see in this photo are called βpakorasβ which are made with chick pea powder, potatoes and some spices. Pakoras pair perfectly with a hot cup of tea ππ
A photo from around two weeks ago when I went to a family picnic in MIA park qatar πΆπ¦ π. There is this spot in the park in the edge with is a little bit higher then the normal ground level and provides this beautiful view of Qatar skyline π. To make it more interesting I snapped it with a cup of tea in my hand π
Throwback to when I was at Babusar Top in Northern Pakistan π. It is a junction that is located at around 13500 feet above sea level and connects two provinces in The North. The views and the weather there are really to die for ππ Usually during winter it becomes un accessible due to heavy snowfallπ
After the recent update on Splinterlands, I get on loosing streaks too often π . I made my account on Splinterland last year but only started playing ranked battles after july this year. I was learning to play with different strategies and as I thought I know some of the abilities by heart, the game changed with new Splinters and monsters π π Now I loose even more but its ok , I wonβt giveup
Once upon a time at Paye Meadows in Shogran valley π. The valley is located in Northern Pakistan and is truly one of the most beautiful places I ever visited. It is so high above sea level that the clouds usually are approachable π. In fact when we descended back our ride passed through clouds ππ
Good morning noisers π. So I am planning a trip to somewhere bu next weekend and travel is surely not what it used to be before COVID. I have to get tested for Covid as the destination requires a negative PCR test and a vaccination certificate. I am fully vaccinated but the test still has to be done. So , right now wait in the lobby of a clinic for my turn to get tested
One thing that made my midnight dunning trip to inland see with friends more adventurous is when my car got stuck in the desert π . There was no one around and for a good 20 mins the car went deeper in the sand. Later when the sun just rose, we pulled the car out with the help of my friends car
So rollercoin finally started their season 3 and called it Christmas Time π. https://rollercoin.com/?r=kb6zantf My favorite feature of the new season is the drops players randomly get after winning games. Those drops are free mining power and some components that can increase the hash rate of available miners that the player has ππ. They also added the option to mine MATIC(polygon) I think the game has evolved alot and it is going to become hugeππ
A throwback back shot from my trip to cameron highlands in Malaysia π. Cameron highlands is a small town that is famous for its greenery and has lots of strawberry and honey farms π. The whole way is surrounded by thick green trees and plants on both sides and usually is very pleasing to the eye π. I snapped this shot using a Nikon D5300 DSLR
Cherish a season you have for you will miss it once its gone π. This applies to me, it has gotten really cold here since yesterday and now I am missing the turquoise waters and sunny beaches in Phi Phi Islands in the Thailand π. The winter here is very little so I canβt complain of the weather π
Training with big birds today ππ. Today at work I was assigned to updated the block point of these aircraft simulators and then I had to test themπ. Usually I love such assignments as it gives the feel of an actual flight ππ . Anyways time to head home now, enough work for today π
I will be traveling tomorrow to somewhere near Aisa / Eastern Europe π. Meanwhile I thought of sharing this with you guys from my trip to Istanbul earlier this year in August π. This is a beautiful waterfall viewpoint near the Spanca area which is around an hour drive from central Istanbul π
Before my trip to Northern Pakistan in 2017, I had only heard about the lifestyle of locals and read about it in books. But When I visited there I found out that the people there are truly self sufficient who grow their own food and have their own cattle for meat and dairy purposes. Honestly that lifestyle really fascinated me π Here is a shot of some cattle gazing in Siri meadows in Shogran valleyπ
Anytime can be teatime π So Friday evening before I travel today I went out to saloon for a haircut and on the way a cup of green tea was must π π. Just got back and now getting ready to get to the airport. Will share soon where I am heading so stay tuned π
Well I have been absent from the platform for almost two day as I was traveling π I traveled from Qatar to Azerbijan and right now exploring the old town on foot π. So far I had some mishaps due to which I got really busy and couldnβt post any updates but today seems to be a fine day π This is a shot of baku old city with narrow streets and some structures from 12th century
In the past four days I have been so busy as I am on A vacation in Azerbijan as I mentioned to your guys already. I am sorry for not being too active and not being able to respond to any of your comments or posts. I am planning a return journey back to Qatar today and hopefully will be more active afterwards π
Flying over Dubai π So last night I finally reached home via Dubai as due to holiday season the flights direct to Doha were full π. I had an intense 5 day vacation with so many pictures and stories to share with you guys π. Best of all I added another country to my list and that is Azerbijan π I will start sharing the photos in coming post
Let me start sharing my vacation pictures with you guys from this lovely Azeri food that I had the first day I was there. The white colored dumpling kind of food is called βGurzaβ and similar to dumplings it is filled with minced meat and the second thing is grilled lamb liver with some peaces of lamb fat π. Honestly I didnβt expect it to be that delicious but both the dishes were super nice
Azerbijan has many regions and many of them are mountainous terrains . One such region is Shahdag which has a beautiful ski resort and cable car that provides wonderful views. On my second day I went for a tour from Baku to Shahdag and snapped this beautiful Panoramic shot of snowy peaks π
Treated my self with this late night dinner before I start dieting again from sunday π . I had this monster double angus mushroom burger with chiky bites and curly fries π. Hardees is my go to fast food when I want beef brugers π
Baku is a city that is quite densely populated with around 4 million people living in it. As you can see from the photo I shared there are many high rise buildings and house in this area. This is a shot from my apartment window just when the sun had almost set π For first time visitors the best place to stay is near fountain square which is considered the heart of the city π
One of the most important piece of architecture to see in Baku is the Flame towers π. They are actually fairmount hotel and apartments but in a city where you donβt see many high rise towers, Flame towers really give a striking look π. I walked there from my hotel and reached at an optimal location to snap this beautiful shot π
Doha skyline really has something about it. When the sunsets and darkness consumes light, the skyscrapers lit up in different colors to give is beautiful view from far π Snapped this last night when I visited the bander tea spot for some green tea in the cold breeze ππ
