There are only 3 situations in which you can ever consider selling your coins below your purchase price. 1. You have a 100% guaranteed better opportunity that will offset the opportunity cost of waiting for the poor losing coin to move into profit (there's hardly any project with such guarantee). 2. You have an urgent and important need for the money, and selling the coin is the only way out. 3. You discovered the project has failed (dead), or it's an outright scam, and you have to sell to cut your losses.
