Something you should know about marketcap... The total marketcap does not reflect the exact amount investors have put in a project. It simply shows the monetary value of the price per token multiplied by the circulating supply. For example, if a token with 1,000 supply is listed on an exchange for $0.5 apiece, and someone buys even $1 of it, the marketcap will immediately be $500 (i.e. 1000*$0.5). So even when only $1 was actually invested the marketcap is $500, giving the illusion that $500 has been invested in the project. Thus, marketcap is a poor metrics for evaluating how much money has been invested in a project. #cryptocurrency #crypto
