If you believe that marketcap shows the total amount of money invested in a project, it's time to wake up. Of the current $1 trillion+ global marketcap, probably only a few hundred billion (1 - 3) is actual cash invested in the different cryptocurrencies by investors. That's how misleading marketcap could be.
